The Career Academy

The tutors were very helpful, the course was straight forward and easy to work through.

I enrolled in a course with The Career Academy after being told it was “internationally recognised” and connected with leading organisations. After enrolling, I discovered the course is not delivered by an RTO in Australia, does not provide a USI, and offers no work placement – which means the certificate will not help me gain employment. I tried to withdraw within what I believed was the cooling-off period, but the provider refused. I also explained my severe financial hardship (rent, bills, and reduced work hours) and provided evidence, but they still denied my request and continue to demand payment. I feel misled, unsupported, and forced into a course that provides no real job outcomes. This has caused me unnecessary stress and affected my wellbeing. I am now lodging formal complaints with Consumer Protection WA and the ACCC. I hope this review helps others be cautious before enrolling.

I found the entire experience very easy. The woman i dealt with was able to answer all my questions and there were quite a few. I was able to set up payments on a day that worked for me. I have even enjoyed and appreciated the little pep talk emails that encouraged me to start learning, take the leap and go for it. Contact has been so easy. The staff have been so encouraging and positive.

So far I've found my course to be the right amount of challenging for me, and I feel like it's explained well. The exercises are great to really make sure you know the content. I find it works well for me, it's really flexible, I can do it around busy family life.

To be honest, it was very easy to me to start and everything make sense. Personally, I am progressing very well with the course without much difficulty, because I have a perfect foundation in general accounting.
