El objetivo es practicar un idioma con nativos pero en el fondo es una plataforma para contactar con personas de cualquier parte del mundo. Lo pruebas durante un tiempo preocupado más por los que te conectan y te siguen que por el aprendizaje del idioma. Es un test de aceptación social

Per un colloquio importante ho deciso di installare questa app consigliata sui siti; registrazione semplice ti fa fare match con chi parla fluent la lingua che vuoi approfondire PECCATO CHE nessuno vuole fare videocall sono tutti INTROVERT scrivono come fosse un app di incontri quindi...no. non va bene così, fuorviante, cupa e pericolosa ho installato l'applicazione e dopo 22 minuti ho cancellato il mio account. DA SEGNALARE|!!!!!!!

A racist person in a chat told me that I’m not British because of the colour of my skin. I said I am British she said “your face betrays you” I responded by telling her that you need some education on your ignorance… and guess what? I get a warning because this is how sexist and racist the moderators are on the app. They literally do nothing to her for telling an ethnic minority whilst laughing. You’re not British because you don’t look quite European… but because I got annoyed and told her she needs an education for her ignorance I get a warning… I’ve even had it when someone’s been abusive with me and I’ve been abusive back with them in retaliation and they have warned me and when I’ve reported them, they respond by saying they’re not going to warn that person… even though that person’s language was far more offensive than mine. The moderators are extremely racist and prejudice. This constant racism, sexual harassment and homophobic language in the tandem parties. And no one ever gets a warning or banned there.

Le doy una estrella porque no se puede poner menos. Pagué una suscripción, se supone que te da más opciones y tal pero nada,en un mes cinco tíos vieron mi perfil,uno me escribió a las 11pm y como no le hice caso no me habló más. Parece una web de citas y no un lugar para aprender o compartir. Yo no tengo ni tiempo ni paciencia para estar escribiendo y esperando que una persona me responda cuando pueda y quiera. Así no se puede aprender, si tengo que depender de coincidir con alguien...no pierdas tu tiempo ni tu dinero...

Troppi persone con altri intenti. Mi dispiace molto scriverlo ma ho conosciuto quattro amici di cui tre erano truffatori. Questi mi hanno chiesto di continuare a scriverci usando altri social. Non fatelo mai. State su Tandem. Too many people with other intentions. I'm very sorry to write it but I met four friends, three of whom were scammers. They asked me to continue writing to each other using other social networks. Don't ever do it. Stay on Tandem.

Fast nur fake Profile. Anmache und Betrüger. Ich hatte mut keinen einzigen Nutzer Kontakt, der wirklich daran interessiert ist, Sprachen zu lernen. Vorsicht

You need to improve moderation in the app, too many weird users show around.

My first week using Tandem: The support ppl said that I couldn'tget in at first bc I didn't provide a photo, when it never ASKED for one, as I was just setting-up my account. I got around it by using a different email b4 they even told me that. A fact I put up to their face: they have PLENTY of users who have a compromised photo on Tandem. Some have NO picture whatsoever. Others are CLEARLY perverted and some are clearly NOT genuine. Faces covered, crazy names, naked. So they can't write me and say that it was because I didn't have a picture when I was making a new account! I'm already thinking that Tandem is full of fake, perverted people, just like all the other apps. NOT impressed.

Good app to learn French. But not all users are friendly, you need to find a better way for moderation.

Cette application est devenue un site de drague, d'ailleurs il y a beaucoup plus de profils masculins que féminins et pour cause. On va pas parler de la direction, elle bannit les gens au moindre problème. Si vous comptez apprendre ou progresser dans une langue sur ce site, passez vite votre chemin. Le décalage horaire, le peu de motivation des gens que vous rencontrez et les personnes qui gèrent ce site vous amènent très vite à vous tourner ailleurs.

They are behind the times. Their log in is tied to Facebook only. Very antiquated. Disapointing.

I got the App to practice my Italian speaking, few days later, on WhatsApp , I was contacted by an Italian woman offering her services! At least she wrote it in Italian, so good practice with new vocabulary! I blocked her straight away. Be aware.

Sinceramente yo estuve hablando con una persona, al principio se mantuvo agradable y normal. Pero luego empezó con el rollo de las criptomonedas y con el tema de la inversión de bolsa le tuve que bloquear porque era insoportable

Ich habe von der App von einer Bekannten erfahren. Ich fand die Idee interessant und habe ein Profil erstellt. Kurz danach wurde mir in der App eine kostenlose Testphase der App für 7 Tage angeboten und ich habe es auch angenommen. Direkt danach wurden mir direkt fast 60.00€ für das Jahresabo abgebucht 😡 Soviel zu Kundenfreundlichkeit. Ich habe allein aus Prinzip das Konto gelöscht. Will gar nichts mit einem Unternehmen zu tun haben, dass solche Praktikern betreibt. Zur App an sich… es fühlt sich eher wie Tinder und dem Deckmantel von Language Exchange Würde nicht empfehlen, aus offensichtlichen Gründen

The concept is great, connect people that wants to learned a language, making an exchange, I like it. But a lot of people with other intentions, and I don't know how the app can control that. But not everything is negative, I met amazing people that really want to help. I used this app for almost a month.

Es ist das klassische Schema einer App die zu Abos oder In-App Käufen verleiten soll. Kaum angemeldet bekommt man schon die ersten Nachrichten. Auch angeschriebene Personen antworten relativ schnell. Bei allen Kontakten wird Interesse gezeigt, aber eine Kommunikation per Call abgelehnt. Es wird auf die App und die Kommunikationsmodelle (kostenpflichtig) hingewiesen. An der Schreibweise hat man schon gemerkt, dass per Übersetzer geschrieben wurde, und die Person nicht die war, die im Profil angegeben wurde. Dahinter stecken ziemlich sicher Fake-Profile, die Interesse wecken um sich ein Abo für weitere Kommunikation zu erwerben!

Ich reihe mich ein in die Erfahrungsliste von vielen hier: jede Menge fake Profile, die mehr an eine Dating-App erinnern. Wenig Kontakt zu Leuten die ernsthaft Sprachen lernen möchten. Wenn dann doch mal ein Kontakt entsteht, dann ist er nach ein paar wenigen Nachrichten auch schon wieder eingeschlafen. Die Community spiegelt wohl den heutigen Zeitgeist wider, ich sehe mich nicht darin.

Tandem has been racist with me. I have created an account and they sent me an email to wait for confirmation and they did not. Excuse is that they have some limitations for some countries, well, I am an ARAB. I have tried different accounts to be honest, and I started feel self-loathing that I might have made a mistake with the information I entered each time. few days ago was me trying for the last time to get approved, basically i am not going to change my nationality or ethnicity, thanks Tandem for being that way.

Great application. #1 It is always improving. #2 Recently, a feature was added to the application which allows you to write in the target language and then get it corrected for grammar, syntax and vocabulary. It is a great addition because it gives you feedback and explanations on how and why your original is flawed. In this way, you learn by leaps and bounds.#3 It gives you the option of connecting with native speakers near you or in the country where the language spoken is your target language. #4 You can record your voice and get recordings from native speakers which helps with listening comprehension and pronunciation.Finally, I have had this app for about 3-5 years and love it so much that I pay for it even though I could get the free version. I have not seen a better application, ever!

Since my retirement from a bilingual position seventeen years ago, I have not had opportunities to speak French. I developed a serious mental block about speaking my second language. My relationships on Tandem have helped me resolve the problem! I specified Francophone women from Québec and my partner has been amazing. We chat daily and speak weekly. She tutors me in differences between standard French and Québec French which has been a boon. My mental block is gone. I am so thankful for the app and my Tandem friend! The app is well designed. Highly recommended.
