Opening night show cancelled
Last evening was the opening night of 'Briefs: Dirty Laundry' at HERE at Outernet Charing Cross Rd, London. I booked my ticket back in May through See Tickets, part of Eventim. The show was due to start at 11.00pm with doors opening at 9.30pm. I arrived at the venue around 10.15pm to find 2 other hopeful ticket holders. The doors were locked with chains and there was no sign of life. After asking around at all the nearby venues a security guard was found who was extremely apologetic. He knew that the show had been cancelled but he didn't know why. He took all of our names and emails so that his boss could get in touch today. Looking on their website there is no explanation as to why the show was cancelled or even that it had been cancelled. On one of the customer query pages there is a statement to say that should a show be cancelled, then ticket holders will be notified ... well, I'm still waiting for that email, just as I'm still awaiting an email from the security guard's boss. Extremely disappointed. I had come to London especially for this show and booked accommodation at London prices. Think carefully about using these people, they are incompetent at best and frauds at worst. Let's put it down to incompetence and I will endeavour to find someone to complain to on Monday.
