Having been named as sole executor for an estate, I had no idea where to start the application for the Grant of Probate. Barry Halliday of Secure Inheritance Legal Services was recommended to us as someone who could help. From the start, Barry was extremely thoughtful and professional. He talked us through our options and we opted for him to take charge of the whole application process. Barry was extremely thorough with every part of the application to ensure that it went through first time and to prevent any unnecessary delays. It was great to have John Kelly at our house and going through the details of our new will. Now we have peace of mind that in the event of our passing our young children are now covered and will be safe. Nothing beats this feeling and John has gone into great detail to explain things without much of the Legal words that we couldnt understand. we would recommend John to anyone who would like to secure theor childrens future. From meeting John Kelly at our door, we sat down and discussed our wills and LPAs, which John explained in great detail, helping us to understand the purpose of making a will and LPAs. John has met my wife and I at our home and was very knowledgeable and clear in explaining all the details around will and LPA. We both found John also adding a personal touch that made us feel comfortable during the meeting by sharing specific real life examples that we would have never thought about. That made us understand better the purpose and the intricacies of the entire process around it.
Initially, my wife and I were looking to have our wills re written, and also do lasting power of attorney. However, when John Kelly paid us a visit, he read the wills and it was just our misunderstanding of the "jargon", so he told us it wasn't necessary. He spent almost 3 hours with us explaining all the details of the LPA and was very informative and patient, pointing out things that we hadn't even thought of. We were happy to see someone face to face and in our own home rather than doing it online. We would recommend him to anyone else.
My uncle and I met with Mr John Kelly on the 12th of March, 2024, to discuss his Will and Lasting Power of Attorney. My uncle suffered a stroke in 2003, which has affected his speech. The meeting to update our Will to reflect changes over a period of time and consider circumstances not previously specified was detailed and very informative. Protection provided by power of attorney covering property, banking, valuables etc were explained and adopted. The vulnerability of having no cover in the various circumstances of illness or failing health was also explained.
