Salomon Sense Ride 5 Reviews

This is my third pair of Sense Ride shoes and the 5th version is definitely an improvement. Better heel lockdown and the updated midsole feels more responsive. Will definitely buy again.

The drainage ports work well when crossing streams, but the upper material doesn't breathe very well. My feet get quite sweaty during warmer weather runs, which can lead to hot spots on longer outings.

Overall a solid trail running shoe with great traction. However, I had to return my usual size 9 and get a 9.5 instead. The fit is now perfect and they're comfortable for long runs.

Love these for rocky and root-filled trails. The protection is excellent and I haven't had any issues with stones or debris. The only minor complaint is that they can feel a bit warm on hot summer days, but that's pretty typical for trail shoes.

These shoes have been fantastic for my weekly trail runs. The grip is outstanding on both wet and dry surfaces, and the cushioning feels just right - not too soft, not too firm. After 200+ miles, they're holding up remarkably well with minimal wear on the outsole.

Nothing flashy but they get the job done. Good traction, decent comfort, and holding up well after 4 months of regular use. Would recommend for recreational trail runners.

Been using these for both trail running and hiking. The Contagrip outsole really delivers on traction, even on loose gravel and muddy sections. Comfortable right out of the box with no break-in period needed.

While these work fine for shorter trail runs under 10 miles, I find them too firm for anything longer. The minimal cushioning starts to feel harsh on my feet after extended use. Great for speed work though.

The shoe performs well but runs quite narrow. Even after sizing up, the midfoot feels restrictive during longer runs. Great for normal to narrow feet, but wide-footed runners should look elsewhere.

Great shoe initially but after about 150 miles the upper started showing significant wear near the toe box. For the price point, I expected better longevity. The performance is good while they last though.

Does everything I need for moderate trail running. Nothing groundbreaking but reliable performance at a reasonable price point.

These have become my go-to trail shoe for everything from technical single track to fire roads. The balance of protection, grip, and comfort is spot-on. They've handled everything I've thrown at them over the past 6 months.
