Waiting for the wind farm to produce.
Waiting for the wind farm to produce.

I hummed about this one before eventually not investing. I could easily have got done but usually for a lot of the projects I wasn't quick enough in deciding. That is probably why because it felt like... See more
Waiting for the wind farm to produce.
The proof of the pudding will be in the eating, and the wind farm isn't built yet, but Ripple have been up front about the risks of the project and it's such a great idea. I don't believe the government is taking green energy and energy security as seriously as it should be and this lets me do something (albeit a very small something) about it.
Ripple is a fine example of ethical energy supply, involving informed investment potential. They appear to be proactive and energetic in their forward planning, and I expect a great, positive future from this organisation.
This seems a great idea, I can't give much more for now as the wind farm isn't live yet, it's a big investment of several thousand pounds, equivelant to around 3 years of power and gas usage, but has a low rate 12 month payment option, will update review once it's live and savings are being realised, with energy prices rising sharply after signing up hopes are high of this being a great investment
So far so good. Exciting project. Way to go!
Ripple are amazing - direct, community owned action to save the planet, using money that we have to spend anyway on our energy needs. We invested in the first wind farm which was completed exactly on schedule, with greater savings than those predicted (as energy prices have gone up). Aside from that they are also very lovely people. It's super accessible - you can put in as little as £25 or a larger amount (we put in around £850 and are adding more with the second wind farm). If you move house, it moves with you. And it's built at scale so more watts per £ than installing solar on your roof (due to the cost of scaffolding and labour). Having said that we plan to use both Ripple and solar as I think they are complementary (solar most useful when used at the time of generation, Ripple helps with the rest)
Information was clear and professional, the application process straightforward. So far updates on progress have been forthcoming making it clear what the expected milestones in construction process will be.
Ripple a great company that allow everyday folk to buy energy from the power of wind. We love it that our energy will be generated from our own windfarm.
Comprehensive information. Simple to buy the part of the wind farm needed. Good updates on progress so far.
Scheme was explained well in terms easy to understand. Website easy to navigate. Updates on progress seem regular. Can't give full review yet as construction hasn't started and I haven't had any benefit from the scheme.
Clear and informative documentation on the share offer. I found it very easy to sign up and was reassured all the way through the process through to closure. Looking forward to being a proud member of the Kirk Hill wind farm.
Good communication. They keep us updated on construction progress of our wind turbine.
As a ripple energy investor I am happy to be creating a green energy supply. It is a long wait about 18 months invested before any returns but this investment is not about Money it’s about getting green initiatives up and running and showing that it doesn’t just need to be big companies making all the decisions at this level. Well done Ripple you truly have given the ordinary person a chance to get involved.
Clear concise information about the business, T&C's etc. Easy to do business with. Very responsive to queries. A great green proposition to invest in.
Buying shares in the latest wind turbine was very simple and the information provided explaining the likely cost and payback time was clear. Trying to work out what level of investment to make was a little more tricky (based on having solar panels) but that may just have been me. Overall very good, just waiting for it to be built.
Simple, clear, great benefits
Keeping me informed of developments
Only made my investment. A year and a half before I discover the return on that investment. But, so far, so good
Due to having a B listed home in a conservation area, solar panels are not an obvious choice for us, and we tend to use all our energy when the sun isn’t shining. Wind energy from Ripple has provided an obvious alternative, and we think it will work out cheaper too. Obviously it’s an investment, and stuff could go wrong, but that’s true of solar pv too. The information they provided was really good, they try hard to make everything understandable.
I really love this project, the concept of course is brilliant, but it is also so well executed. Exceptional communications - responsive, enthusiastic and clear.
