I made a claim for my cat. It was easy to make the claim and I was kept informed by the company of the process at each stage. The claim was paid with no difficulty for me.

I made a claim for my cat. It was easy to make the claim and I was kept informed by the company of the process at each stage. The claim was paid with no difficulty for me.

Our first claim for £2000 was denied. Despite the promise of lifetime cover, a previous minor issue that didn’t merit a claim with our previous insurer turned major and classed as a “pre existing condition”. Lifetime cover doesn’t work if you change insurer which is not clear in the paper work and prevents people shopping around. Our second claim was mostly paid, though they found several crafty ways not to pay the full amount and took absolutely ages to process the claim with little to no way to easily contact them. Their website didn’t give clear indication of the status of the claim, or the amount they were processing. They also split the claim into two chunks, and processed them separately on different timelines, even though they were all submitted in one claim by our vet.

Very sadly my dog died unexpectedly. Purely’s Pets were so kind, they dealt with everything online, in a timely manner and very sympathetic. They even gave me a courtesy call to explain everything they had done. Thank you for removing one worry at an awful time
Desperate for reviews. I haven’t even started the policy yet but I’ve had 4 emails begging for reviews. I inputted everything on the website, you just took my money. If my pet needs the policy I’m already worried you won’t help in any way

Purely pets is good value for money and offers lifetime insurance although premiums go up with age as with all companies.the advice line to a vet is an excellent idea.we have used this service once when we were unsure what to do when our dog ate something he shouldn't have done. We have made one claim which was resolved fairly quickly and we found it fairly easy to contact the company.
Very irritating that I couldn’t complete my purchase online because of an unspecified problem only disclosed very near the end.
We recently lost our 11 Yr old dog and claimed on our insurance within a week we had a payment back very quickly dealt with. We have now given a home to buster and decided to insure him with yourselves quote and getting him insured wad easily done without any trouble very pleased with the service we have received for both our dogs in different circumstances

Purely pets was there when we needed them .it was quite a simple process to put in a claim and resolved quickly .although we had to pay the vet first and claim afterwards and ours was a smaller claim it came with a big access ,but with a bigger claim it wouldn’t be so bad .quickly sorted out

We have just lost our dog of nearly 14 to Cushings and diabetes. Purely pets have dealt with the vets directly and kept me informed by email, they have paid out on all the claims except the excess very professionally and promptly and I could not praise them enough for their sensitivity in this very sad outcome.
