They like to avoid paying claims and have limited customer service
Our first claim for £2000 was denied. Despite the promise of lifetime cover, a previous minor issue that didn’t merit a claim with our previous insurer turned major and classed as a “pre existing condition”. Lifetime cover doesn’t work if you change insurer which is not clear in the paper work and prevents people shopping around. Our second claim was mostly paid, though they found several crafty ways not to pay the full amount and took absolutely ages to process the claim with little to no way to easily contact them. Their website didn’t give clear indication of the status of the claim, or the amount they were processing. They also split the claim into two chunks, and processed them separately on different timelines, even though they were all submitted in one claim by our vet.
