As a amateur mycologist, I can’t rave enough about Midwest which has become one of my favorite vendors/shops all around. I say this for several reasons:
1. They have the supply that is needed for every step of the lifecycle. One stop shopping is great!
2. As an amateur, I am often in need of advice and insight to help me with my endeavors. I have ALWAYS gotten valuable help from their staff which has in turn set me on the right path or calmed my anxieties with a grow.
3. The staff, every single one of them I’ve spoken with, are friendly, down to earth and really really helpful.
4. When I’ve experienced product/supply problems they rectify the situation immediately and to my satisfaction.
All that said, I do have two helpful bits of feedback:
1. Sometimes there are discrepancies between the instructions that appear in product listings and what is included in shipped supplies. Nothing a little content strategy work won’t fix and if done would reduce number of calls into Midwest.
2. Support call capacity...it can be difficult to get through on the phone, but if you’re persistent you will eventually get through. While there is online chat, sometimes the advice coming from that channel contradicts the phone channel and that ought to be better aligned.
Still, from an overall view, these guys are great and an absolute joy to work with! Highly recommended!
