Some prices appear great as you comb thru the website...however..cigars arrive in interior shape or are dried out. Shipping takes to long but part of the problem is the length it takes to process an order. Orders may take 3-4 days to process and another week to receive it. Wouldn't recommend
The company screwed up shipping, and it had to be rerouted to them in transit, and then they refused to ship another order out to correct the mistake. They billed at the point of sale and when I cancelled the order they expect to receive their package back before issuing credit back for the transaction, which was then another lengthy period. Not worth your time.

I smoke a bundle or so per week. No longer will I buy from JR. I recently sent a review to them and they refuse to print it. They now put out discount codes and I find they don't work on alternatives. It used to be you could use the discount codes and get alternatives for under $3 per stick. Now they raised the price, lowered they quality, and the discounts don,t apply. No longer worth it. I suggest going somewhere else. JR clearly knows of the publics disdain for their "new" company and they simply don't care.
So what is going on at JR? They send coupons that you can only use on high end cigars, they have raised prices, shipping can be hit or miss. Now Loyalty points expire???? I have been. Customer for 20 years but time to go elsewhere.
As always, the worst experience possible. I don't know why I have not learned my lesson yet.This time I ordered a box of cigars. The box arrived empty. I called customer service and they really don't care. It should be called Customer non-service. I truly believe they are running some type of scam operation. I encourage every single one of you to boycott JR and utilize any and other cigar retailer in the universe.
Sure online ordering is usually with little or NO issues. However, once you want to change OR cancel and perhaps re-order, LOOK OUT! I'm speaking within 12-15 hrs ordering and placed time wise essentially overnight. Come on! Live chat doesn't accommodate this kind of transaction. You must call their customer service people. And then, you have to continue to wait until this person gets in touch with the warehouse. What an inconvenient pain. Why does this have to be so difficult? Jury is out. We'll see if they honor my request. March 6 UPDATE: Well, they didn't honor my change or order cancellation order request, as the customer service person had said that they would. Nor did they follow up and call me as promised. Order's NOT CANCELLED as per my request. It was shipped out, all within a reasonable time period that they could have. I'm done with JR Cigars.
I order three boxes of cigars that were either 10x, or 20x and I didn’t get the points listed. I emailed they said to call. I called and a nice woman took the information and said she had to it to someone else to research, that was weeks ago.
so many bad reviews ... I started to get worry . I order my black and mild cream last week . came in a day earlier then expected .. so i don't know why so many bad review . package was nice and neat packed . well order more in future..
the service is a nigthmare. I ordered for 314$ of cigars. They asked for age verification. I'm a 60 yo Winter Texan from Canada. I gave my infos. They asked for a proof of ID. I sent my driver licence. They asked again. I sent both passports of my wife's and mine. They asked again age verification for a third time. All those questions took a week. I got mad and I cancelled my order via Paypal. Finally the refund was less that the amount I've paid. NEVER NEVER AGAIN.
I ordered almost $200 worth of cigars gor my husband for Christmas. It said it was delivered and did not receive them. I called and the only thing they could say was they need to review it and can take up to 14 days (maybe more because of holidays) to possibly get my money back. Couldn’t even offer replacement i would have to spend more money to order more.
I've been a cigar smoker for over 50 years. Most of those years ordering from J & R. I have fond memories of "BS ing" with Lou Rothman in his little cigar shop in lower Manhattan. I worked in an all male business with lots of cigar smokers. Once the online NC site was up and running, we ordered literally 20-30 boxes of cigars at a time. Of late, I can't express enough how disappointed I am with NEVER having any of the top quality cigars I smoke. Site always says out of stock or back ordered. Update your web page because I'm able to get what I want from other sites. J & R use to be one stop shopping. Shame how it has deteriorated.
I’ve had some problems ordering from JR, but recently my order took several weeks to arrive at my vacation location and I missed the delivery. It was clearly their fault, yet my requests for a refund have been totally ignored. So they are losing a long time customer through a lack of service.
I have completed two orders with JR Cigars with no issues. Surprised to see so many low reviews here. My review will be update if they don't continue with their seller service.
If I could give a lower score I would. They openly will sell you old and broken bad cigars in 5 packs or any kind of deal and it is buyer beware. No returns no anything I have now been stuck twice by them with old and bad cigars and I am not taking it anymore with them.
Bad customer serivce. Will not help you if you are a foreigner in the US.
I have been purchasing cigars from JR for decades, and put up with all of their (problems) growing pains because they had great products, great prices, and promotions. When there were mistakes made, customer service always tried to make things right. NOT ANYMORE! If they make a mistake, they don't seem to care, and the customer pays for it. I'm looking for a new online cigar retailer, you should too.
Bait and switch tactics on pricing?? I regularly purchase Honduran 6x 60 corjos for $102 unless jr has their 30% site sale. Then the price of the same cigars goes up to $152 pre 30% off. Seems to happen all the time.🤔
You guys lied about the free ashtray promotion. Just lying to get orders. Poor customer service both times i called. I will never do business with you again (im a vet) and i will make sure no other Vets order throgh you. How about honoring your promotions?
Signed up for emails and texts to receive 25% off. Put code in to redeem and it doesn't work. Tried to use code FLASH30 for 30%. Neither codes worked for redemption. SCAM to obtain my info but codes do not work. JOKE!
