Jesus Christ Superstar Musical Reviews

This production brought me to tears multiple times. The raw emotion and spiritual themes really resonated with me. The final scenes were particularly moving and the entire cast seemed to pour their hearts into every moment. An unforgettable theatrical experience that I'll be thinking about for weeks.

Expected more based on all the hype. The music is timeless and some performances were excellent, but others felt a bit flat. The set design seemed dated and could use an update. Not bad, but I've seen better productions.

For a local production, this exceeded my expectations. The passion of the performers really came through even if they weren't Broadway-level talent. Great way to experience this classic musical without breaking the bank.

Such an emotional experience! The actor playing Jesus had an incredible voice and really brought the character to life. The lighting design was spectacular during the crucifixion scene. My only complaint is that the seats were pretty uncomfortable for a 2+ hour show.

Love the musical itself, but this particular production fell short of expectations. Several technical difficulties during the first act were distracting. The leads were fine but didn't have the star power I was hoping for. Maybe an off night?

Some aspects were fantastic - the music is obviously classic and a few of the lead performers were exceptional. But the pacing felt rushed in places and the costume choices were questionable. The venue itself was nice though, and parking was easy.

The actor playing Judas absolutely stole the show. His range and emotional depth were incredible. The rest of the cast was solid too, and the production values were high quality. Definitely planning to see it again before it closes.

It was fine. The performances were competent and the story is compelling, but nothing really stood out as exceptional. Felt like going through the motions rather than a truly inspired production. The ticket prices seemed a bit steep for what we got.

This was my first time seeing Jesus Christ Superstar and I was completely blown away. The vocal performances were outstanding, especially Judas and Jesus. The staging was creative and the live orchestra added so much depth to the already incredible music. Worth every penny!

Really enjoyed the performance overall. The cast was talented and the choreography was impressive. However, there were a few moments where the sound mixing seemed off and it was hard to hear some of the dialogue clearly. Still a solid production that I'd recommend.

The staging and visual effects were absolutely breathtaking. Every scene was carefully crafted and the attention to detail was impressive. The music sounded great with the live band. Only minor complaint is that intermission felt too long.

The entire cast delivered amazing vocal performances from start to finish. Mary Magdalene's songs gave me chills. The rock opera format really works well and keeps you engaged the whole time.
