IDOL courses Reviews

Before joining IDOL Academy, I seriously considered trying to piece together my own instructional design training using online videos, LinkedIn Learning, or similar resources. I figured I could do it for less money. While that might work for some, I'm incredibly glad I chose IDOL Academy instead. The structured approach and, most importantly, the personalized feedback truly made all the difference. What sets IDOL Academy apart is the rigor and real-world application. It's not just theoretical learning; you're doing substantial work that prepares you for the field. This hands-on experience, combined with the requirement to complete an internship for graduation, offers an excellent way to become a skilled instructional designer. You simply can't replicate this level of practical application and guided learning by self-studying. The feedback I received for each milestone was extremely helpful. It helped me understand precisely what quality instructional design looks like and allowed me to refine my skills in a way that wouldn't have been possible on my own. It's important to note that IDOL Academy isn't a passive learning experience. You absolutely have to be willing to put in the time and effort to get the most out of it. This includes engaging with other students and providing peer feedback, a learning opportunity I think some might overlook but which is incredibly beneficial. If you're dedicated and ready to do the work, you'll gain a ton of valuable skills and experience. I was truly happy with the skills and knowledge I gained, but it's worth noting that the job market for new instructional designers, particularly for remote positions, can be tough. Even though IDOL Academy prepares you exceptionally well, it doesn't automatically secure you a job after graduation. For anyone serious about a career in instructional design, I still wholeheartedly recommend IDOL Academy.

IDOL courses Academy is a great way for those interested in Instructional Design to learn about the craft and what goes into the job. The coaches and mentors are helpful and are there to guide you every step of the way!

IDOL courses gave me the technical insight and iterative practice needed to become confident in my craft. This, paired with the Do It Messy approach helps to get over the obsession with learning in lieu of progress.

My experience so far in IDOL courses Academy is great. The company has provided valuable information for IDOLS to learn from.

IDOLCourses Academy is exactly what I needed to quickly learn essential skills and resources for instructional design success. Dr. Robin, coach Cindy, and mentors Chris, Mandy, CJ and Tracy were amazing! The learning curve was steep but the support kept me on track and I was able to reach my goal of obtaining the eLearning Developer badge in 8 weeks. I look forward to continuing my IDOLCourses Academy journey and growing my knowledge and skills in instructional design.

Wow, IDOL is amazing! I am so glad I had this opportunity to learn from the best. The plethora of resources, knowledge, and hands-on experience has given me so much confidence in seeking a career change.

I loved the community, the support, and the plethora of PD available to refer back to as much as needed. I found areas I felt drawn to and really dug in there first. I loved the options to get my work reviewed in multiple settings, and I loved learning how to review others (and knew my craft was sharpening in my ability to do so)

IDOL Academy has provided such an engaging and encouraging experience by allowing me to build my skills at my own pace and providing experienced mentors and coaches who are currently in the field of instructional design. I now have the confidence and experience, myself, to transition into the field of Instructional Design, and I would recommend IDOL Academy to anyone, especially transitioning teachers, who wants to learn and remain current on ID skills, theories, and tools.

IDOL Courses Academy provided me with a wonderful network of supportive mentors, coaches, and peers that helped me to cultivate valuable skills and ID knowledge. The hands-on practice, feedback, and iterative process is incredibly helpful.

So many things! The community and support from the mentors and coaches is priceless. This truly is social learning at its best and the more rewarding virtual learning experience I have ever had.

This is the best program for any educator considering a career change. While the entire program- each course, and the 8-week #DOITMESSY jumpstart- are absolutely empowering and elevating to my skills and knowledge, it's the incredible community of mentors and members that make this "never behind in the academy" experience, so rewarding! Thanks to Dr. Robin Sargent for having the insight to launch such an unparalleled academy!

This entire academy is amazing and I cannot recommend it enough! I have learned so much in a short period of time. I've been able to create a functioning portfolio and learning assets. The Storyline course gave me the confidence to jump into Articulate Storyline with zero experience.

The IDOL courses academy has given me a plethora of knowledge and community that I am excited to use throughout my journey into ID. I feel prepared for a job in ID and am looking forward to where it will take me, all thanks to IDOL!
