We have been a landlord with full management service by Thornes/HML for the last 11 years. During this time we have had several tenants and we have relied on David Tondel to advise us on new tenants and any repairs or improvements after tenants have left. He has effectively assisted us by sorting problems with repairs and renewals etc which is not really his remit. We are grateful that he has always been available when required.
We’ve been tenants for 13 years and HML have just replaced our carpets throughout. We’re VERY happy with them, they really look impressive and brighten up the rooms. The carpet fitter, Richard, worked so hard on his own. He was efficient, cleaned everything up and was a pleasure to have in the house. A big THANK YOU to HML for their continued support and help, we are very grateful for the improvement.

Hml in Luton have two Trust pilot sites, one as Hml Luton the other as Hml lettings - worth checking both before engaging with this company. Hml in Luton have reached a new low in customer service. Echoing many experiences shown on the Hml Luton listing trustpilot site, staff either do not answer phone, deny any knowledge of a situation, or do not phone back as they assure they will. Their approach seems to be one of deny deny deny and stonewall in the hope that you will loose the will to pursue whatever the current malfunction in service is. As examples: failing to manage tenants who leave without notice resulting in significant loss of rental income and costs to landlord. This situation equally frustrating to tenants who did not receive deposit back for over two months after leaving. Failing to have organised required electrical safety checks despite continually assuring landlord the work had been done. One thing hml are good at is spending the landlords rental income on non urgent works without prior agreement, also not managing accuracy of tradesmens invoicing. The ability for non communication is a practice to behold. A recent experience was the receipt of a unsigned letter from the collective of 'WE '. I did not choose Hml,they were inherited when Thornes of Luton sold on retirement their proffesional and long standing company to hml,who have reduced the service to rubble. The Hml response to negative Trust pilot reviews is to send a ' please contact us' reply. Such a hollow gesture after many months trying to do just that. Update of review due to lack of improvement. A suggestion for HML, Offer all landlord clients inherited from Thornes a penalty free opportunity to move to another letting agent. (Currently HML would charge at least a month's rent for each property ) They would then have no further negative reviews and landlords can source a proffesional letting agent of choice.
Very organised and helpful, definitely recommend them over other mainstream Lettings companies in Luton! Really enjoyed how easy and rapid the process was.
That was an awesome experience with HML particularly David, He is an awesome personality, very helpful, calm and cool. At the final stages of my tenancy period he helped me to move to new home.

I have live in my property for over 17 years. the property is held by my wife as Trustee for me, HML were supplied with a Power of Attorney by my wife, in my favour over 10 years ago. They refuse to deal with me and clearly have no legal understanding, Legal Proceedings are ongoing. I am a retired Solicitor. You should avoid HML at all costs, They are a bunch of unprofessional charlatans. I have along email trail to back up my statements. The worst managing agents I have known in over 50 years experience
Leah-Rose Burke and David Tondel from HML Lettings have been most helpful with my rental property. They have kept me informed, organised maintenance where needed at a reasonable cost and have generally been very helpful. I would highly recommend them
