    I had the most amazing care and support…

    I had the most amazing care and support from the guys at your 237 West Street branch in Bedminster, Bristol when I recently took my car for its MOT on 29/05/25. Sean was amazingly helpful booking my car in - then ringing to advise me that he could bring the date forward (I’d accidentally allowed my MOT to expire) and then when I arrived I had somehow got the wrong time - I was an hour late 😩 - so then Sean said he’d see what he could do and then Alan stepped in and said he’d do my MOT in his lunch-break! I also spoke to a lovely guy called Matt and between them they managed to turn a potential nightmare (having to rebook the MOT then wait a couple of weeks unable to use my car), into a very lovely encounter. I would like to thank all of them for their amazing kindness and good-humour in the situation I found myself in - those guys are diamonds and you are lucky to have them working for you. I just wish it was easier to work out how to write a review - I expected to be emailed something that I just clicked on to do the review but instead I had to do a Google search! I was given a sheet of paper saying I’d be sent an email for feedback - but as far as I can see nothing has come through so please, make sure this happens as I really want to thank your guys for going the extra mile and way beyond my expectations in every way. Bless you all, you’re fine young lads and deserve to do well in life! 🙏

    Flipping heck it's awful

    Flipping heck it's awful and not worth the hassle even if there is a deal to save you lots of money. Ok top tip if no one turns up when you have booked mobile fitters, call Halfords and select the refund option. Don't rebook you will have same problems again. Just ask for your refund and then thank Jesus and never book anything through Halfords again.

    Visited Halfords store Queens Road…

    Visited Halfords store Queens Road Sheffield. Had problem with coolant level in my car. Man on till really friendly and Jake came out to look at my car. He advised what coolant to buy, poured it in and talked about possible causes and told me to check it again in few days. Felt very reassured. The level had gone down again so took back to the store and talked to different person who was also very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you all for your tips and advice. Great job Halfords your staff are fantastic.

    Grim customer service

    Ordered 2 weeks ago with 1-3 days as delivery, still no sign of the order. I contacted Halfords who say they had issues with stock levels so the order hasnt moved, would I like a refund or a replacement, why am I contacting you after 2 weeks for that? No apology or anything, speaking to me like I'm at fault too... mental. Lets see if my order comes around second time trying (: UPDATE: nah, they didn’t bother sending again hahaha. Asked for and received a refund, what a waste of time!! Customer service horrendous again, still no apology and extremely rude, clowns

    Want to leave zero stars end of May I called into store in Crewe with my guarantee for an electric bike as the charger had broken the lad in the store said yes it’s under guarantee we will order you one he rang upstairs told someone and he said they will order one I had to ask the lad did he want my name and details Oh yes he said … writing down my name and mobile number only??.. told me they will call me when it in as manager was coming downstairs to order it!.. so a week later not heard anything so I call the main call centre the following Friday they say someone will call me back within 24hrs Sunday arrives no call ?.. I call Monday 9th June to be told they will call me back so at 2pm the same day I call again to be told they can’t get hold of the store but will leave a message to get them to call me??… I have a few words with the call lady and she suggest I go to the store!! Why?? I have already been there and it’s not a quick journey for me either? So now I have a £1,000 bike my grandson can not use and he needs to ge in work at 5am everyday I just give up but your stuff elsewhere is my advice

    i bought a new bike and was told i…

    i bought a new bike and was told i would receive a text when it was ready for collection. i didn't hear anything so rang them. I was out at the time so didn't have my receipt / order number. my call went to a regional contact centre, the lady said she couldn't help without the number. when i got home i rang again and was told that yes it was ready for collection, no explanation why i hadn't been contacted. took it home, went out for a ride, didn't feel quite right but couldn't work out why, then noticed the forks were on the wrong way round! the funny thing really is that we bought my wife a new bike from the same store 2 or 3 years ago, exactly the same problem with hers...

    Hustlers and Cowboys

    I had a battery change, the low battery signal still said low battery so they did a bad job. They should checked for any faults and reported them. They booked me for a 5 point check the next day but refused to do it because "it might be the alternator" I complained again and was offered no compensation because "we did the job" never trust these clowns. 0/10

    Unpleasant service at Halfords Northwich, and no proper follow-up to complaint service at Halfords…

    I visited Halfords Northwich on Sunday, 1 June 2025 to have a bicycle inner tube replaced. When I arrived at the bike service area, a staff member was sitting and chatting on her phone. After about a minute, she gestured with her head for me to speak. I said I needed a tube replaced. She ended her call, told me she was on her break, tore off a scrap of paper, and told me to write my name and number so they could call me when it was done. I said I would prefer to wait, since this is advertised as a "while you wait" service. She told me everyone was busy and it would not get done. I asked how long it might take. She left to "check", then returned saying the same thing. I later found out she had not asked anyone at all. I told her I would buy a tube and fit it myself, and that I did not appreciate her attitude or the fact she was on a personal call at work. She started shouting at me, saying she was on her break and could do what she liked. I asked her to please stop talking, which only made her shout louder. While looking for a tube, I saw that the other staff were at the front of the store chatting. I asked them about the repair, and they confirmed it could be done right away. It became clear that the original staff member had not asked them anything. When we returned to the bike area, she began shouting again. She said she behaved that way because she didn’t like the way I spoke to her. She then falsely told the others that I had said "shut up," which I had not. I simply asked her to stop talking because the situation was escalating. One of the other female staff had to intervene and tell her to "leave it now." I raised a formal complaint via live chat the same day and again on 5 June. I was told it would be escalated, but I received no reference number and no follow-up. Only after chasing again on 9 June was I finally given a reference number (26278759), which proves the first complaint was never properly handled. Still waiting for a response. Very disappointed in both the behaviour in-store and the way the complaint has been ignored.

    Had the bike a few days now

    Had the bike a few days now, Brakes pads still rubbing on tyres. Supposed to have fitted lights and mudguards. Rear light was missing, mudguards were loose. Been working over weekend so will have to spend some time on it over the next couple of days. Rang up and complained, said they would get back to me, nothing. Cannot email anyone, customer service is abysmal, never enough staff and whoever deemed my cycle as checked and ready should have gone to specsavers. A very poor outfit.

    Store manager incompetence and no apology

    On the 13th May, I ordered audio equipment from your Westwood Retail Park Store , face to face from an assistant called "Jay". I was told by him that it would take two or three weeks for the items to arrive in store, and that i would be contacted so I could make an appointment to have it all fitted. I duly received a call and was asked to report to the store at 1pm on the 31st May. I arrived at 12.45pm and made myself known to the staff. At 1.15. the fitter "Tom" arrived and informed me that the job would take around two and a half hours which I had no problem with, and settled into a chair in the corner to read a book. Half an hour later, Tom had not found the parts needed and finally found them at 1.46pm, and went to the car. At 2pm, after a while in the car, he informed me that the parts that would allow me to use the cars reversing camera had not been ordered, and the job could not go ahead. Not the fitter's fault by any means, but the person who ordered the parts knew very well the features that the head unit had to be compatible with, i.e the steering wheel controls for the phone, volume and channel change, android auto, and the reversing camera. I have now chosen another company to fit the audio as I would not be confident in trusting your company to carry out a first class job, and have had no apology from the store manager.

    Can you give a minus star rating?

    Still waiting for my delivery over two weeks now. Several phone calls to Halfords. They keep referring it back to DHL. Found out today that I was made medium priority last week, and high priority on Friday ( a day after my phone call!).

    I had a great experience today…

    I had a great experience today purchasing a new bicycle and a tool box at Halfords in Hartlepool. The mechanics was fantastic and assembled my bike very quickly even though it wasn’t scheduled , so thank you and well recommended , fantastic shop Many thanks

    I made an appointment for a battery…

    I made an appointment for a battery replacement for my BMW with Halfords to be fitted at my home address last week Saturday (31.05.25). Unfortunately, because there are two types of battery that can work with my car, I ordered the wrong one. It didn't matter as the Technician who replaced the battery (Arek) was already aware of this and arrived at my address with the correct battery. He was excellent, fitted the battery in a very short space of time and I was up and running and back on the road. Halfords also refunded me the difference into my account as the correct battery was cheaper. Would definitely recommend Halfords and will be using them again in the future.

    Trade card

    Staff were fine . Trade card is issue it always adds more to the cost not a discount. Iv tried contacting Halfords but email no longer works live chat always to busy . Just pointless having it

    Terrible bike and customer service

    Bought a Carrera Valour from the North Bridge Doncaster branch in September for my nephews 12th birthday. I paid approx £340 and he’s had nothing but problems with it. Since September it’s needed 4 axels front and back, 3 brake cables, 2 wheel bearings and 4 derailers which altogether has cost another couple of hundred. We got fed up of this happening so I contacted Halfords online and after a lot of messing about having to get authority from my brother to speak to me about it as he was the one that went in to buy it a complaint got raised. I got a phone call from a guy called Reagan at the Doncaster store and he asked what the problem was so I told him and his first response was “his derailers will be damaged from him throwing the bike on the floor” and I just thought here we go, it’s all going to be blamed on my nephew! Anyway he asked if I could take the bike in and they’ll have a look at it and see what they can do. My brother has just rung me absolutely fuming after taking the bike in and speaking to Reagan who apparently just blamed every fault on my nephew, even to the point of saying that he must’ve jumped off the bike while it was moving leaving it to crash into something. All he kept saying was “this bike hasn’t been looked after” which really riled my brother because my nephew loves his bike and goes everywhere on it so he does look after it thank you!! He mentioned scratches and my brother said that’s from getting the bike in and out of the car plus it’s 9 months old so it’s not going to look brand new. All they offered was a £20 voucher….as if we’d ever buy another bike from here again! Apparently Reagan just kept saying “his hands were tied” and “what does she want me to do” and “ you can take it further if you want” which is exactly what I’ll be doing because if you think I’m paying over £300 for a bike to not even last a year then you’re having a laugh!! The brake cables went in the first week so we should’ve known then that it wasn’t very well made!! If I’d known that this is how my brother would’ve been treated by taking it in I’d have told him not to bother because instead of looking at it to see what they could do they just picked away at all the things my 12 year old nephew must’ve done to it! Disgusting!!

    forced to drive over 200 miles on faulty brakes

    This is a series of events leading to one final trip national tyres. I have been made to drive over 200 miles on faulty brakes as a result of the farce that is national tyres. It started with the wrong calipers being ordered so a return trip was needed on seised calipers. When the calipers were finally replaced they they failed to replace deformed disks due to caliper fault, being told the faulty front disks despite me questioning it. Then told at a brake check when I questioned the vibration comnig from the front and the steering shaking on braking that the fronts are still not faulty its the back ones. Go to get the back ones replaced even though its the front only to find on the day despite all these trips that the computer does not talk to my car, and its a known issue. Do not use these people they do not seem to know what they are talking about when it comes to brakes.
