Great tutors. Very professional, patient and understanding.

When staff at my son's previous school said his gap in learning would never close, Explore Learning said that's rubbish! 4 years later we still go weekly and my son is preparing for SATs and the gap in his learning is closed to the point that he's doing work within his correct year group. My son loves going weekly (I can't say the same about school!). Highly recommend

Islington EL changed negatively a lot since management was replaced in 2024. Most important to management is how OFSTED inspection, they say it openly. The policies seem to be the justification for any changes affecting parents badly: chairs removed from waiting area, children can not go in 5 minutes earlier even if places are available to comply with strict adult ratios (common sense: children are 9-10 yo, visible to staff and parents at the front), when finished- kids are escorted out even if parents aren’t present (transport 2 minutes delay). Old management was open to brief discussions when children are brought in, siblings could use the toilet if desperate. New management cancelled it all! There is nothing nearby for parents to wait for kids to complete an hour session, many commute from far, or go to the toilet. Zone 1- no parking is available either. Center became inhumane.

I would like to thank all the staff including the managers of the Greenwich centre of explore learning for their kindness and the way they teach the classes, my son is enrolled for the 11+ course and his progress in class is very great, he is very happy with all the teachers and how they give him the classes, as a parent I recommend this centre 100%

The children usually have their sessions F2F in the Centre but I’ve been signed off driving post-surgery… Total flexibility! A smooth transition to Online sessions at home until I’m back in the driving seat again. Thank you Explore xx

Our daughter has been with explore learning for 10.5months. The progress our daughter (7) has made with 1:1 tutor had provided consistency, reliability and understanding of her needs making a huge impact with our daughter's communication and cognitive learning development. Her tutor is Megan she has made a positive impact on her learning experience. The progress meetings provides visual evidence of the development which provides enormous reassurance and confidence when your child has additional needs.

My son has been attending Explore Learning for a year and always looks forward to his weekly online sessions. Bisma is an outstanding tutor, fully dedicated to his learning and growth. Her teaching style and interaction are incredibly amazing, and her valuable feedback after each session has helped him progress. Jenny and Becky have also been fantastic—always responsive via email and phone, flexible with scheduling, and providing great support. Their commitment, along with Bisma’s exceptional tutoring, is why we continue with Explore Learning.

Both our daughter and son completed the Entrance Exam course at the Aberdeen Explore Learning branch. Throughout their time (over the last two years), the team have been professional, enthusiastic, supportive and flexible. Our children felt very prepared and confident going into the entrance exams as a result of the tuition and clear programme of learning. We would like to thank Amy, Victoria, Terri, Faris and Shinin for their support and the way in which they prepared Niamh and Harris for their exams.

Very flexible, great tutors with good cancellation policy. My son was studying with them for arround a year. He just get grade 9 in his GCSE moc exam in Maths :) Highly recommended!

We came to 11+ tutoring late in the day so my son only experienced about half of the 11+ sessions available but we have had a very positive experience. We decided that online sessions would suit us best and were really pleased to have this as an option. We met online with Olive initially, who clearly explained how the sessions and platform would work and the limitations of what could be done in the time we had available. Olive and Sam have been quick to respond when we've had any queries or issues and we had a couple of helpful catch up sessions to discuss my son's progress and check we were happy with how things were going. My son had his weekly sessions with Mehek, who has been brilliant. She quickly established a rapport with my son, who really enjoyed his sessions with her. My son's comments are "Mehek was really nice even when I got things wrong and she explained things in an easy to understand way". I was also impressed by how Mehek manged to bring my son's focus back to the task in hand (he's a chatterbox and has a tendency to go off on a tangent). Mehek was kind but firm with him and he responded well to her. At the end of each session I had a helpful catch up with Mehek who talked me through what they'd covered, what my son had done well/not so well on and what homework he needed to do. There was also the opportunity for me to raise any questions. As well as the weekly sessions my son has enjoyed using the independent learning part of the platform.

Tomi is great. My daughter passed her 11+ and she told me loved compass with the Explore at Home Elm. Being a experienced qualified teacher myself and in educational leadership I used to ask lots of questions. Holly and Barakwere always happy to help as the managers. Tomi the tutor identified what my daughter needed to work on quickly. My daughter told me she liked the fact she could navigate the website herself so it made her a independent learner. I had a small baby at the time my younger daughter and the practicality of being online also helped. I cannot recommend them enough. Any problem Barak would go out of her way to help. Always calm, polite and cheerful. 11+ is a really stressful time for parents and they were great. I will be putting my now 4 year old ( younger daughter) for explore learning when she is in year 1 . The discipline of a little every day really helps. I also like the feedback every lesson.
