Cryptopia Exchange

In September 2025, I had an issue with my funds on Cryptopia Exchange after making a deposit. My funds became temporarily inaccessible, which was stressful. I contacted the support team on September 12th, and although it took a little time to resolve, they guided me through the process. By September 20th, I was able to successfully reclaim my funds. I appreciate the effort and support in helping me recover my balance. While the delay was challenging, the fact that everything was resolved leaves me satisfied with the outcome.

i am in a bitter state of mind writing this review i really don't sit well with the fact that their support team answers my online chat slowly when it comes to me withdrawing my money.it took your exchange 2days to enable withdrawals.

To GOD who made me this exchanged is messed up. How on earth would i as an investor of your exchange pay a activation fee for my account and till have to go through hell by you making me withdraw and have access to only 50% of my asset. i hope you all riot in hell with my remaining 50%.

had not the best experience with the company, lost money, though not a big sum but..

What's that? I can't withdraw my money.I've been trying for 3 months if you know what I mean. I've got no support literally

They cut and run from what I can tell. It seems like they faked a hack and took off with peoples money.

The way this site handled its customers funds after the hack should be illegal. This happened in January 2019 and it is Now May 15, 2019 and I Still can NOT access my coins. I should atleast be able to withdraw my coins to another wallet, but No, Crytopia is holding them hostage. They should be brought up on charges of Theft, because they won’t release our funds.

A little backstory - I used them prior to 2017 and sometimes in 2018 as there are new projects who cannot list on bigger exchanges simply get sucked in by cryptopia. I tried to withdraw ETH one day and it simply got stuck somewhere in their hot wallets. It took me 2 weeks communicating with support to actually retrieve the missing ETH and from the time I tried to withdraw it to the time I received it, the asset has plummeted by 30%. No reimbursement for their own mistake even though I kept on reporting it every single day. And now they got hacked? What a mess.

EDIT 15 MAY 2019 : Cryptopia Exchange Announces Bankruptcy. Since their 14th January hack their communication is a disaster : 45 days of almost silence and at the beginning of March they reopened in "read only mode" (like a movie set) impossible to trade, to deposit or withdraw our cryptocurrencies .. On march 19th they sent an email to say that they are not scammers and Cryptopia is a "transparent and honest exchange, with the greatest customers in the world" : So funny !! In all cases who can imagine that Cryptopia will survive after that crisis? Nobody.

Just like it happened with others before, these companies gets hacked and then transactions become final and people’s funds go down the drain. After transacting and losing over $16,000 , I sought for answers just like I did before and with CHARGREFUND, US I was able to recover all my lost funds with the help of their white hat asset recovery specialists within a very short period of time. They just deleted my account, without any notice.

Thieves...they stole my crypto’s and the retreival process though the court takes forever. I hope the responsible managers will go all to jail or get their god given justice.

Cryptopia made it impossible for me to log back into my account without Google Authenticator, after my Google Authenticator app DIDN'T back up any of my accounts, so needed to deactivate the Athenticator validation, (even though I had my phone backed up, before sending for repair and having to restore to factory settings!) Then they get hacked, and they break off line of conversation, so no way of continuing the discussion re the issue! Disgusting lack of customer concern!

Been a user for a year or so , and they recently got hacked in jan 2019 , and since they have been hacked , they have now decided to ignore all its users who are wanting answers and info regarding their accounts, and 5 days later they are still giving them the cold shoulder , don't waste your time with this half witted site , the owners have got no morals or actually give a toss about their customers , there are plenty of alternatives , that are much better than these con artists , keep well away from !!

Deposit didn't show in account. First support ticket response is quick. From there on forth, I haven't heard anything in over a month now. Frustratingly enough, any new support tickets are closed immediately, yet they can't even provide a "we're still working on it, don't worry" update on my missing deposit ticket. It's fine to be busy, but no communication is just plain unprofessional. For all I know my money's in limbo and they won't help get it back.
