It's over rated, If you have a black car then it will more than likely give OK results, however any other colour is disappointing. My Peugeot code is EEG blue. I tried four times to get it to blend but it was always darker than original paint. I contacted Chipex only to be told I was using to much blender. Tried again with two drops of blender, same result, Emailed the result to them , heard nothing back..... UPDATE.. Chipex has been in touch with me, they have discussed the situation and have resolved my situation professionally.

Hides the small chips well

Very easy to use and understand the instructions. I bought the kit to do a deep chip on my bonnet after a PDR guy have removed the dent. I played up the paint to build it back out and it definitely takes you eye of it now. In certain lights it's barely noticeable! Colour match is spot on! It saved me having the bonnet re sprayed which I was qouted £490 for!

I had several stone chips on my Berlingo, especially on the wheel arches. I bought the kit and am happy to report that I am very pleased with the result. I followed the simple instructions, and fortunately, a good spell of weather allowed me to have quick drying conditions. The filling and rubbing process wasn't too difficult and the result looks great. Highly recommended product, would use again.

UPDATE: Since first posting my review, Chipex contacted me and tried to help. I explained that I felt the product was difficult to use for the lay person, and I thought only someone with skills/experience in bodywork repair would be likely to get a good result. I stand by this. However, the company did refund my payment (without asking) and this deserves credit. I have therefore amended my review/rating to reflect this. I have no reason to believe their products are not good if you know what you're doing. However, their marketing, which suggests ANYONE can get a good result, is simply not true in my experience. I have left my original review (unaltered) below. Honestly, I found it very difficult to use and I got a very poor result (on a very minor chip) after persevering over several days. I took time to follow the instructions and watch examples of how to do it on Youtube. Very possibly I lack the requisite skill. But if so, that defeats the point of the product, which is supposed to be something a lay person can use successfully at home for minor touch up. Well, it didn't work for me, really at all. I now have to go to a professional bodywork shop. I wish I had just done that straight away. Sorry, but I can't recommend this.

Got my Chipex kit this week after building up the courage to have a go myself! My car is a Ferrari and the chip really stood out so I was a bit nervous. A large quote from someone that could take the “chip away” gave me the confidence to have a go! I don’t have a steady hand but the dabber style brushes are really easy to use. The hardest part is judging the time to wait before using the blending solution. I went too early the first time but nailed it second time round. You get loads of paint and blending solution so it doesn’t matter if you don’t get it right first time. I’m sure I’ll get it even better on the next chip when it inevitably happens again. The colour match was spot on and the kit was easy to use. I’m very happy with the result which is no longer noticeable unless you know it’s there. I would definitely recommend it. Thanks. 🙏

My new-to-me Qashqai was in pretty good condition, but had a cluster of chips and scratches on the rear bumper. It wasn't worth the cost of a full respray, but it was irritating me. I tried the Chipex system, and it made things so much better. Very easy to apply, and the colour was perfect. Thoroughly recommended.

It has hidden the chips, close up you will see them but from a pace away very hard to spot. Very happy, since the chips were deep and in an awkward place on edge of boot.

Delivery was pretty quick, The colour match, considering the car is a silver/gold Metalic colour (never looks the same twice in a photo), was very good. The kit works well, although I decided to wet and dry rather than use the solution. All in all, the marks, which were very deep, are hidden pretty well. You are never going to get a perfect invisible repair but then Chipex don't say you will. So all in all, very happy.

I have a metallic black car that had a few deep stone chips in the bonnet that really stood out. I bought chipex after reading reviews and watching videos and followed the step by step easy to follow instructions, the results are outstanding, unless you get really close to the paintwork the repairs are invisible to the naked eye. I would recommend Chipex to anyone as a solution to stone chips or scratches in their vehicle.

Colour is off by miles, far too dark. Chipex replaced the paint and it is so much better! Almost invisible now. Thanks for sorting this out quickly. I would buy again after the great service and quickness of rectifying this.

Chipex is in my experience way ahead in producing a paintwork repair system that matches 100% ,and is simple to use , producing excellent results.

Speedy delivery and the kit had everything it needed. Easy to follow instructions and it did a great job on my Mini. Quite a large/deep scrape on the door and now looking so much better. Impressive, recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint.

Now on my 3rd purchase of Chipex Kit for different cars. Always very pleased with the match for the existing paintwork and the results when the repair is finished.

Each time I changed my car I purchased colour matched Chipex. It is easy to apply and blends in very well to the existing paintwork. The shelf life of the paint is excellent. I found the staff easy to deal with and resolved my issues quickly. I cannot recommend this product enough.

Bought Chipex to fix some stone chips on my car. Put my car reg in on the website and ordered - it arrived quicker than expected which was a bonus! I’m not great with car stuff but this was honestly so easy to use and I am genuinely thrilled with the results!! Would definitely recommend!!

Wow , just wow this is a great piece kit. This used on my daughter peugeot 208 2018 plate. There was alot of stone chips over the bonet. After watching videos and seeing reviews it does the job just need take your time. They were deep chips took few layers to build up, but the finish result is fantastic. Only way knowing there is looking very close to the bonet. If didn't knew had the chips would not know. Again thanks
