Jacobo is patient, yet exacting. He takes the time to go over material until he is satisfied that the students have mastered the material. He is receptive to student’s requests for concentration in certain areas, whether pronunciation, reading, grammar, etc. He provides course material after each class so students can review it at their convenience.

Jacobo is a great teacher. He is organized, well prepared, knowledgeable and very patient. I would absolutely recommend him!

Uriel immediately makes you feel comfortable - willing to give you a chance to stumble but there to help explain & give advice on how to start speaking real Spanish! A great conversation partner who helps bring the conversation to your level, giving you helpful advice on grammar & sentence structure along the way. Would highly recommend!

Uriel is a confident, fun, and interesting teacher. He always makes me feel comfortable, and each class I have with him I leave feeling more confident with my Spanish. Out of the different Spanish teachers I have tried, he is my favourite. Highly recommend.

I have been taking Spanish lessons with Uriel for 3 months (2 times a week), and am extremely happy with my choice to learn through Dutongui. I am proud of the progress that Uriel has helped coach me through in such a short time. The best part about learning with Dutongui is the flexibility in how and what you learn. In our first session, I had expressed how I am comfortable learning the grammar rules outside of our sessions and want our meetings to focus on talking more naturally. Uriel is so friendly and fun, so we immediately start chatting about anything and everything. Typically he will guide the conversation topics to be relevant to grammar and vocabulary that I am hoping to work on. (Ex: We candidly talked about childhood memories when I wanted to practice the difference between imperfect and preterite tenses.) However, if I ever want a more formal classroom lesson on a specific topic, Uriel comes prepared and teaches me in a structured, entertaining way. My favorite thing specific to Uriel as my tutor is his soft but clear way of correcting mistakes. If you are considering learning another language, Dutongui really is a great option!

I’m taking spanish with Uriel, he’s a great teacher, And he also speaks perfect english, so there’s never any communication issues. I enjoy our topics of discussion from travel to politics. My instructor is Uriel Benitez. I am very pleased with my lessons primarily because 1) We converse in Espanol. I struggle and he patiently corrects me. 2) He takes notes on our conversation and sends them to me via email so I can review them. 3) He sends worksheets after each lesson that I try to learn before the next lesson. 4) The conversations I am learning are pertinent and practical. 5) He is efficient, polite and flexible with my schedule. Tome clases con el teacher Uriel y quedé muy satisfecho con los resultados. La dinámica de la clase es amena y todo el tiempo me sentí cómodo mientras aprendía. Vale la pena invertir en estás clases si quieres aprender un nuevo idioma.

I'm taking the dutongui program and having a wonderful time! I'm learning a lot and the study materials are very well organized and easy to understand. Their tutors are fantastic. Definitely worth your time and money. I've learned more in a handful of sessions than I did in 2 years of college courses.

Mi experiencia en Dutongui sinceramente es grata. Al principio si me frustre mucho el no saber y no entender otro idioma,ahora me siento un poco mas segura conmigo misma, se que puedo aprender y lo estoy haciendo. Mi profesor es muy bueno, a pesar de que me deja mucha tarea y lamentablemente a veces no tengo tiempo de hacerla por mi trabajo e Incluso el tiempo para asistir las clases, el ha sido muy buen compresible de acuerdo al tiempo y ayuda a no tener un gran atraso. Cabe mencionar que las clases son excelentes, ya que hay confianza al equivocarse, el profesor es paciente y puede explicarte de mil formas para que quede clara las ideas. Las clases son dinámicas y se aprende el idioma de manera mas nativo que se pueda.

I had one other teacher in the past who was from Spain and he was alright. But Uriel, on the other hand, has surely improved my Spanish while making it entertaining. TOTALLY WOULD RECCOMEND!
