I'm a student of over 3 months with no plans of stopping with Dutongui!
I have been taking Spanish lessons with Uriel for 3 months (2 times a week), and am extremely happy with my choice to learn through Dutongui. I am proud of the progress that Uriel has helped coach me through in such a short time. The best part about learning with Dutongui is the flexibility in how and what you learn. In our first session, I had expressed how I am comfortable learning the grammar rules outside of our sessions and want our meetings to focus on talking more naturally. Uriel is so friendly and fun, so we immediately start chatting about anything and everything. Typically he will guide the conversation topics to be relevant to grammar and vocabulary that I am hoping to work on. (Ex: We candidly talked about childhood memories when I wanted to practice the difference between imperfect and preterite tenses.) However, if I ever want a more formal classroom lesson on a specific topic, Uriel comes prepared and teaches me in a structured, entertaining way. My favorite thing specific to Uriel as my tutor is his soft but clear way of correcting mistakes. If you are considering learning another language, Dutongui really is a great option!
