25% of the people in my class actually passed the test on the first try. While I was one of the lucky ones who passed, I feel strongly that it was due to prior experience with PMI testing, as that is what I found myself pulling from the most.
The Cheetah website boasts a 98% pass rate. The instructor will point out to you on day 1 that this rate only applies to the THIRD time you take the test. The first attempt's pass rate is closer to 60%. I felt that was incredibly misleading, though not terribly surprising.
They will continuously reveal new things that can void your refund "guarantee," in an obvious effort to produce a "gotcha" if you try to request the refund.
It also doesn't really take a week, they ask you to memorize a lot and read through the book twice before the class starts. During the class week, don't expect to have more than a couple hours per day available to do anything but attend class and study.
Save yourself some money and take a real course or buy one of the many available study aids, you'll be more successful with less effort.
*EDIT*: In response to Cheetah's reply: I have now included my name, and I did share my experience with you directly. You were snarky, I provided more detail, and then you never responded again. I'm not inclined to discuss there further, you had plenty of opportunities to discuss in a private forum.
Follow-up: First of all, accusing someone of libel for providing their honest opinion of your company's service is silly. I understand that you don't like the review, which is why you should have considered handling the initial private review that was provided, rather than constantly trying to imply that I am lying, or in this case committing a crime. That is ludicrous, and I have lowered my rating from 2 stars to 1 as a result.
Second, I understand the need to provide limits on your guarantee. I agree that that is necessary! The problem I had was that the limits are difficult to identify. Taking your PMP is stressful enough, without having to worry that you might be missing something small that would void your guarantee. Especially when - whether valid or not - new limits that were not listed on the site were introduced later on.
I would have been perfectly willing to bump my rating up if I felt you cared, but from your behavior it seems clear to me that you do not. Rather than trying to attack the person who's providing you negative feedback, in the future I hope you will try to learn from them. For me, this has been too much time spent talking to folks who aren't listening, and I'm not going to respond further.
