Very easy to transfer ISA to Charter Savings Bank. Fully transfered within a few days. Nice interest rate into the bargain.

Opening an account online was very straightforward. Charter Savings have been excellent in keeping me informed of progress at every stage. Their interest rate is competitive too. Very pleased I decided to bank with Charter Savings.

Everything set up and completed very quickly but would really appreciate an app being available.

Easy to open account.

I originally loved the completely online premise of the bank but it has taken months to remove the identity stop on my account and there has been no clarity on why there have been bottlenecks. Credit cards are easier to open than an account with Charter, which is completely egregious.

Easy to open account with a competitive rate and transfer in took around a week. I normally only take out flexible ISAs in case I'm able to replace any money withdrawn. Have not needed to contact customer service as yet but you can speak to a real person if needed. So far so good.

Very good web site. Easy to understand. Also good communication.

Just had a very long conversation with Michael about an account maturity and although we cannot give our options as yet he was brilliant..patient and very helpful in guiding us through all the steps we need to take. I cannot think of a better advertisement for the bank ..

What made my experience great was the overall set up. So easy to set up the account with clear communication throughout via email. I had a problem logging in initially (my fault), called in for support and was so impressed. Not only was it easy to speak to a person, but that person was so helpful, professional and patient. Can’t sing their praises highly enough.

The greedy UK Banks are cutting savings rates far more than Bank of England rate cut ( .25 % in August ) and also treating existing Customers worse than New ones . This bank as slashed my savings rate but offering much higher rate to New customers . I will take my money elsewhere

Although the interest rates offered are very competitive, the customer service offered to support the accounts (standard savings and ISA ) are poor. Effecting transfers takes an inordinate length of time, request forms cannot be entered and submitted online, they have to be printed off, filled in by hand and then posted - at some cost - to Chartered, and then there is yet further delay in completing the transaction. It's far longer than any other provider I've ever dealt with. Had enough of them now, so I'm preparing to 'ditch and switch' to a provider with a previously known good track record.

I've had some complex times in my personal life of late and the on phone team were so kind and supportive. They took me through the process stage by stage and then on to the online services which are excellent. Can't thank Charter Bank enough. Now set up with an account and moving forward.

Very good website, and phone answered within a few rings - once past the inevitable “Press 1 for this, etc”. Call handlers were efficient and friendly.

I found some good rates ,set up an account and have been very pleased with this bank. worth a look on their website as you may find some rates are very competitive, only moan would be they are a little slow processing withdrawals

Charter Savings just lost out on a new account that would have had £100-200k in it. They prefer to not be up to date with the Scottish Courts Office of the Public Guardian (Scotland) where POA ceriificates no longer need to be certified. Even quoted that direct from the POA in front of me. May well now close my own account. Update: just gave notice close 95 day account and will move ISA elsewhere when fixed rate ends.

When you withdraw your money on a working day before 3.00pm the money will reach your account before the next working day .The money will stop earning interest the day before you make the withdraw .So in another word you will lose interest while they hold onto your money .Imagine how much money they make when applied to all account withdrawals .
