Staff have excellent knowledge of the wine and there is an great selection at good prices.

We got such good reception from Loman and I received same from Louise the previous week. Excellent wine and excellent knowledge about wines.

This time I knew what I wanted and where it was, so was in and out in 2 mins.

Fabulous location, and it's clear no expense was spared on the interior which was beautiful. I went with my friend....it was quiet bordering on dead. I had booked a tasting menu. The person that took care of us, was lack lustre and honestly wasnt engaging. As i said I booked a tasting menu. Which turned out to be 6 crackers, brie and a hard cheese which was slapped up in front of us plus four wines to taste........ for 24e each......... it could of been a fabulous experience. It was just poor. Which was a pity as the wines were excellent. Both myself and my friend would of absolutely have purchased wine, but the hospitality was zero. l honestly wanted to love it but I won't be back or recommending it to anyone.

I was looking for a wine shop in the centre of Galway as my previous supplier had closed. I liked tha signage and the window display. The man serving had a good knowledge of the various wines i enquired, I went on his recommendations as i was giving them to friends as presents. I don't drink so I cannot comment on the quality of the wines, only what my friends tell me. They gave me the thumbs up. I like the layout of the shop and the order in which the wines are displayed. I have returned since my first visit and discovered two new white wines. Looking forward to calling in again pretty soon.

I regularly visit Cavavin! it's one of my favourite spots in town! Staff are always so lovely, warm and welcoming. It has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the cake, sambos and wine are all delish! Every staff member I have met has an immense knowledge of the products and are super friendly and helpful.

Great wine selection and excellent customer service. The deliveries have always been timely and they were very quick to deliver replacement bottles when some had been broken by the courier during transport.

It was a lovely shopping experience, the staff were so friendly and helpful and I left with a bottle of wine recommended by the staff. Personal service, chatting about travel and wine experiences. Very warm and welcoming, single bottle wrapped nicely in tissue paper and bag although not a gift. Felt my custom was valued… rare these days. My new wine shop is found.

We had a great night doing the wine tasting. There were three of us, and it was a lot of fun. The wines were very good - hence we bought eight bottles - and the talk was very informative. The accompanying cheeses and meats were very welcome too! I'd definitely recommend Cavavins for a night out with a difference.
