Great selection and prices on an easy to use website. I was a bit confused at what they actually do as a company as the prices are really good but i'd never heard of them (heard them on Charlie DIYte's youtube channel). They seem to be able to leverage other suppliers local to you and at trade prices. e.g. Part of my order came from Travis perkins but I paid a lot less than i'd be able to get from them direct. Wyatt at building materials was really helpful and communicated well (including switching brands of PIR - to make sure the order was on time and same price). Thanks for all the help Wyatt! The order ended up being split between two suppliers and one was late by a day but that was on them not building materials. Will definitely be using them again!!!

I’ve placed an online order for timber, insulation and osb sheets. I’ve called to change the order for replacing the osb sheets with chipboard. I’ve been advised by Tilly, sales manager to proceed with a separate order for chipboards and I will get a refund for the osb sheets. That never happened. No refund has been received :(

Luca was really helpful when we ordered items and was able to give advice - we also called back to amend the order and add items and nothing was too much trouble- he called back as promised and delivery went smoothly on the date agreed - will order from this site again

I needed various sizes of Kingspan K118. Most suppliers only provide a full pallet of each size, but Building Materials were able to supply any quantity of each size at very competitive prices and free delivery. Wyatt Kingston the account manager, kept me informed of progress to get the boards from another branch and agreed my preferred delivery date. On the day, I got a text at 7am to say they were on their way and when they were expected. The tracking facility allowed me to see where it was on its journey. It was unloaded without any damage by the friendly driver and myself. I will definitely order more supplies from Building Materials.

I use Building Materials but I don't use Building Materials anywhere near enough as I would like to, obviously when work pick up I'll use them more. Straight timber, competitive pricing and a first class prompt service are all you can ask from a supplier and they provide it by the bucket load. I definitely recommend them.

Paid £700 for next day delivery and was confirmed by the office, but didn't get delivered till 4 days later costing me money as fitters were already booked in. I then tried to return some material and was just expected to about for pickup even though they didn't say a day or a time.

Best customer service EVER! Wyatt phoned me an hour after I placed the order to arrange delivery times. Then called a few hours later to confirm. Amazing. Website customer-friendly, easy to place order. EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY TOO!

Just ordered my second purchase and I'm very pleased with the service so far, my first order was delivered on time (next working day) and good communication was maintained until the point of delivery. I've already had conformation to say my new order will be delivered tomorrow and I only placed the order an hour ago. Will definitely use them again and recommend to friends.
