No human element here...

Saw a property to rent that looks ideal so clicked online to arrange a viewing. Took about 30 minutes to complete their registration as I had to open an Experian account to get my credit score - among other things! This was the first agency I had tried so assumed this was standard these days - it's not. The property I want to view does not allow children so while I currently have a 'child' as she is 17, she will be 18 in a couple of weeks - so by the time we move. Rang to get advice on how to complete the form and got an automated message redirecting me to fill in the online form! No space on the form to clarify any individual circumstances. Completed form and didn't hear back by weekend when I was hoping to view property. Sent email but understand it can take a day or 2 for a reply so found a customer services number - phoned hours before they shut and got automated message that operators were all busy and I could choose to hold. I held and just a minute later got a message that my call could not be taken and to call another time -no option to continue holding. The property I'm interested in was reduced in January and I thought initially this was due to lack of interest or something not obvious from the advertisement. I'm now inclined to believe it is due to noone being given the chance to view it! This is ridiculous. I have jumped through hoops to try and get a viewing, I am a reliable and honest tenant and have been in my existing rental nearly 7 years. I won't be renting through Bradleys now even if they do get back to me as I don't feel they are serving tenants or their landlords with this overly restrictive gatekeeping and do not trust that they would deal with any tenancy issues adequately in the future.

Very poor customer service.

I would have given a rating of zero if possible, but 1 star is way above what this company deserves. We used them as a letting agent for several years and our experience was of very poor customer service, usually just telling us what they thought we wanted to hear, when in reality they were not accurately reporting the condition of the property. The tenants were dirty and lazy, but none of this was reported in the periodic checks carried out by Bradley's. Even when there were problems with the state of the property, these were played down or even not reported to us. It took a visit in person by myself to see the poor condition and damage to our property, by which time eviction proceedings were under way. When the tenants eventually left, the check out report was carried out and not even dated, so there was no accurate proof of the condition of the property on this date. When asked about this, the staff became very defensive. This impacted on us, as the considerable damage and neglect to the property could not be fully claimed for, leaving us out of pocket. When trying to submit a claim to retain the deposit, Bradley's were of no help whatsoever, leaving us to do it all. Think very carefully before you use this company as a letting agent.

I'm not good at using computers and sending emails etc. The staff at Bradleys are so helpful, anything I wasn't sure about, I would call them and they would give me advice. I can't fault there great service and friendly attitude. Thanks Bradleys.

Not impressed.

Not impressed. Tried to rent via rightmove so called them. The phone number is just an automated system that directs you to their website and therefore useless. Went to their website: you can't even request more information without entering loads of personal details into this. As part of this Bradleys require you to send through an Experian credit check and you can't progress without it, this means you have to create an account with Experian too or other credit check agency... and accept all their terms and conditions... Still, I ploughed on, completed a credit check and then go no response at all! Utter waste of my time. Went back through right move to contact them, i.e. seemingly the only way to message them. Got a response telling me to go to their website and fill in all my details again! Responsed to the email informing them that I had already done so and guess what? The email system is no-reply. Shameful, hence this review. I can only speak from personal experience, maybe they are great if you are a landlord or selling property but as soon to be both, I will not consider them for either purpose if this is how their tenants are treated.

We are looking for a new home to rent

We are looking for a new home to rent, we were advised to try Bradleys Having contacted and registered with many estate agents in the south west of England we found all of them to be easy and straightforward to register with, but Oh My God when you get to Bradleys, you should dump them immediately. After a few minutes in to the registration form the information they require becomes beyond belief, they even want to know how much savings you have. That’s totally obnoxious and none of their business. We can understand that they require certain information but not this just to register for information on lettings (no other letting agency requests to have your private and personal information just to register or even getting info on properties to let in their portfolio ). BRADLEYS you are too big for your boots. And by the way you have the worst web site to navigate in the market. Pay someone to help or get a grown up to help you.

Don’t sign anything without getting advice

I would advise anyone to steer clear of Bradleys if you expect any level of service or communication. We have been on the market with them for 18 months with only a handful of viewings. I haven’t heard a word from them since April, The For Sale board blew down in February. I reported this but no one has ever been around to put it back up. I have now decided to remove our property from their marketing and have now been told they expect me to pay them £600. I presume part of their strategy is that even if they don’t manage a sale then at least will get £600. This seems a very risk free and lazy way of making money for what is supposed to be a Company working for their customers. I have checked with 4 other Agents out there and none of them operate this way. Do your research and don’t sign anything without checking elsewhere first.

Appalling customer service from the Plymstock branch. Poor communication throughout, had to point out issues with our online listing, they blamed Rightmove but surely if is the agents responsibility to check the listing? Eventually withdrew from them due to no confidence in their ability to sell the property. Received a debt recovery letter for £200 for the photography out of the blue, having not seen the first request. No call from the branch or courtesy to inform it was overdue prior to this. Called the branch to speak to the manager but no customer service hitherto than quoting the contract. Business is about people, and with such a lack of personal engagement I would not use Bradleys again and would advise my friends and family to avoid. No individual service and no impression they care. I should of read the reviews first, I can see I am not alone.

Worst customer service I have ever received. Made to feel like my thoughts and views were insignificant and I was stupid!! I have been in sales and senior management for 25years and have never experienced such a lack of customer care. I would never recommend anyone to use this company to sell their home, people deserve more than this company delivers.

Fantastic agents

Bradleys in Plympton sold my mother's flat and they were so good from start to finish, we couldn't have asked for any better service from Sharon and Harry. Highly recommended.

Very good so far....

Very good so far.... This review is based on an unfinished transaction that is to say we have not reached completion. However, their service so far as been exemplary in terms of marketing and in ease of dealing with them. I believe I was given expert advice upon which I acted and realised a very good price for my property. I have been asked to submit a review, but given no incentive to do so. The staff in Saltash that I have dealt with are a friendly bunch.

Oxygen Thieves - Go Elsewhere

This whole company is appalling. They basically do everything in there power to avoid having a conversation with you. I wouldn't sell my house with them even if my life depended on it, let alone have them manage a letting.
