I recently purchased a luxury wristwatch from AMJ Watches. Although I live in the same county where they are based, this was an authorised dealer I wasn’t previously aware of, so had no past trading experience with them. The watch I purchased was a model I had desired for many years, and learning it had been discontinued, it was a case of buy one new now, or never. AMJ had one in stock available next day delivery. They offered me 4 years interest free credit, free insured next day delivery, and a free watch winder as a gift. Prior to dispatching my watch to me, their Stock Manager Harvey Robinson checked my timepiece to ensure it was perfect. He found a few very small and minor marks on the case and escalated this to me advising he wasn’t prepared to dispatch the watch as was. He sent me a photo of the marks and offered to have the case professionally refinished free of charge prior to sending me the watch, or alternatively provide a sizeable part refund on the price paid to accept the watch as is. I chose to accept the watch with the marks with the sizeable part refund. Harvey kept me fully updated, responded promptly and very professionally, and delivered on all his assurances. I now own one of my grail timepieces with very easy payment terms, a sizeable discount, and a free quality watch winder. Upon receiving the watch, the case marks are extremely minor and hard to see with the naked eye. I remain extremely pleased and impressed with the service received from Harvey and AMJ Watches. I will not hesitate buying from them again in future. An all too rare excellent customer experience.
