Review summary

Sinnis Motorcycles receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from consumers, with many expressing frustration over the quality and reliability of their bikes. Common complaints include significant issues with parts availability, with customers often waiting months for replacements, leading to prolonged downtime for their motorcycles. Reviewers highlight problems such as rapid rusting, poor performance, and mechanical failures, including starting issues and faulty gauges. While a few customers report satisfactory experiences with specific models, these are overshadowed by the majority who describe their bikes as underpowered and plagued with defects. Additionally, the customer service experience is frequently criticized, with many stating that their inquiries go unanswered.

Mansfield Motorcyles dearship

Let me start by saying I have had a good experience of Sinnis Motorcycles so far and the dealer in portsmouth was excellent. My Issue has been with the dealer in my local town and in no way reflects of the sinnis brand. I purchased a brand new Sinnis shuttle at the end of 2023 for my wife. We got it from a dealer in Portsmouth who was really good. they sorted it out and didn't have a single issue. For the money, the bike seems really good. As we no longer go to Portsmoth we had to get it "serviced" by Mansfield Motorcycles which which is supposed to be a Sinnis dealer and was a big mistake. When we booked the service were were told it was a plug, oil and filters change with a full inspection of the bike, suggesting a "nut and bolt check". I will clean and check the bike most weeks, as i do with all my other bikes as want them to be good for the roads in the local area. Unfortunately, after the bike was returned for the "service" my wife took it to work and after riding it about 8 - 10 miles the top box and rear rail came loose and nearly fell off the bike. I had to take time from work and drive to sort this out. On getting there I could see 1 of the 4 retaining bolts was missing, 1 was sheared off and the other 2 were loose and almost out. I removed the box and took it home so my wife could still use the bike and called Mansfield Motorcycles. The guy I spoke to (I assume, is the mechanic) said "Bring it in and I will sort it".. This was arranged for the next week. On taking it in there was no mention of a charge or costs for the job. However, when going to collect the bike later another male was there ( I assume he was the owner). Straight from the start, he was trying to deflect the blame and responsibility for the problem. Saying "Someone has lifted the bike on the top box" and "It must have been loose before it came in". I was then told he was going to charge £50 for the work. We argued over this as I had not been told of the charge and it would be considered as part of the service to check the bike was in good order and that the mechanic would put all the parts removed back in a safe way. The argument went on for some time with the owner saying if we didn't pay he would keep the bike and remove parts to the value and refused to return the key This left us with no option other to pay to get the bike back. When getting the bike home I checked the repair work and found that one of the bolts that had been missing had been replaced but done in such a poor way it had actually stripped the threads inside. So it would look like this job was of poor standards and certainly not of the quality I expect for my motorcycles. Had I known how poor the work was from this place I would never have taken it there and certainly not paid for it to be "repaired" there. I would have taken it to one of the reputable mechanics I use to service my own bikes in the local area. IMO Mansfield Motorcycles are a poor example of a motorcycle dealer and let the biking industry down with poor work and bad customer service

less than a year from buying a street 50, the fuel gauge stopped working properly, the bike has now done 4000 miles, struggling to start, had the lambda sensor replaced and now the speedometer won't work. To change a light bulb you virtually have to take the whole housing apart.

Sinnis connect

So from year one - a 22 plate. With a years parts warranty !! When some thing went wrong. Sinnis don't have the parts for me. Said can I get from some where as it will take 6 months. That's your warranty out the window. My bike Totley broke and I lost my job. They did not care. Said am sorry but it will take 6 months to get the parts your bike needs. Remember this is still under a 1 year parts warranty. I got my bike fixed my self. After that more problems. Sinnis can't help. I lost my job. Sinnis say they have covered all warranty issues... I think not. Bigger problems start to happen.. sinnis, sorry ill try help you out.... no!!!! Not no job, bike stuck in garage. Can't pay to get it out. Got new job. 4 buses a day. Garage say they have never known a problem like this b4 and sinnis say 6 months.. I can't even sell my bike as it dose not run.. to sinnis. You have a small time to make this right. It's a sinnis connect and I live in North Wales. I'll be going to the papers about this as I have no where to go now. Your company seems to be s joke.. you now offer 7 years parts warranty???? How can you when you don't even have the parts to give people.

Don't buy Sinnis Akuma 125

I guess the company don't read reviews, I should have read their reviews. I have the bike less than 2 years and it's been with bike mechanics multiple times for the same issue. The bike no longer idles, therefore unable to drive. Unable to contact directly to get replacement part and the warranty the bike is supposed to come with is not worth the paper it's printed on. Sinnis refuse to honour there own warranty. I will also be contacting Which?, Watchdog and Trading Standards to notify them of these practices. Do not buy any of these bikes as you'll regret it as I do. 2021 Sinnis Akuma 125.... AWFUL A little over 2000 miles, unsure as it's currently with the mechanics again.

Good, but cheeping out in the wrong places

So, I had a Sinnis Terrain 21 euro 5 125cc. Had it for just over a year and to be honest, it was a good little bike.. EXCEPT.... The stock tires were downright dangerous. Stock chain... well that went in the bin fast. Stock break pads and disks.. two modes.. All or nothing. Headlight... beyond useless. All of these I would consider safety defects. Yes, I know the bikes are cheap... But guys.. come on.... You are selling these to learners, who are going to be inexperienced, over confident and lets face it.. daft. I have had years on 125's and just needed something asap and yours was the only brand with actual stock at the time... Frame.. Rock solid. Engine... Came out of a soviet tank... bomb proof. Styling.... Spot on. (just don't try to change the headlight bulb.. its a nightmare) Suspension.... Fantastic. Seat.. More comfortable than my new Triumph Tiger 800XC... Switch gear. Well thought out and easy to use. Dash.. Well laid out and apart from it being a little over eager on speed reading (60mph is actually 52mph). Perfectly serviceable. Just better rust proofing and a better set of the consumables. Chain, tyres, breaks, bulbs... Your stock chain is more than the DID setup I got.. and that didn't need adjusting every single flipping trip. Overall. Decent bike, decent(ish) company... just penny pinching in the wrong places And do a better job on vetting your "Dealers". You know exactly what I am talking about.

Bought a new Sinnis Connect

Bought a new Sinnis Connect 125 cc. There is no way to attach anything useful to it. I mean wind screen, top box or waterproof mittens. Is just impossible. This model has been made for dry, hot countries and in the U.K. is just an unfortunate idea. Why not being able to attach anything? Because the design doesn't approve it. Who had the idea behind the design? My guess is a nephew or other relative who never had a chance to drive one of these in a cold morning and it still got the job as a designer for being a relative to the owner of the company. And nowhere online to find any accesories for the Connect model. Nowhere! Oh, and a storage underneath the seat wont allow a full face helmet. As my first moto scootter is awaiting its time to be sold soon.

I bought a sinnis bomber in 2019 and…

I bought a sinnis bomber in 2019 and the only positive thing about it was the styling. I should have guessed I'd be having problems with the bike when the speedometer developed a fault and needed replacing after 10 day's. During the Christmas holidays ,20 days after purchase, the bike would not start due to a fault with the earthing strap. The side stand cut out switch has been replaced twice after failing, once when traveling on a very busy road causing the bike to come to a stop putting me at risk. The battery was replaced after 6 months and the starter motor after 7 month's. After numerous issues with the bike that I had bought for £2275 I asked if sinnis would be prepared to exchange it for a replacement model as with an excess of issues it was surely a rouge production piece ,they declined. Within the first 12 months the indicator relay unit and the speedometer drive were also replaced. The rear hub bearings were replaced at 6000 miles, the bike was used to commute in London traffic and not abused but they just gave up on me ,I contacted sinnis to ask why every other major manufacturer didn't have similar problems at the same age with their bearings and were they fitting sub standard parts but they declined to other any reason. On 10000 miles the rear bearings once again failed this time almost causing me to crash in busy traffic ,enough was enough I got the bike fixed and sold it for a fraction of its cost. When you buy a sinnis you are offered a two year warranty however this is only maintained if you continue to have it serviced every 2000km which if you commute tends to be every 10 weeks for myself. With the constant problems I had I was extremely disappointed with the communications I received from sinnis they appeared to not want to take any responsibility for the numerous issues and were content to leave everything in the hands of the dealership who to be honest were perhaps only 50% efficient during this. I have since bought a Honda and only wish I had bought one initially to have saved myself time trouble and money. To sum it up if I have not made it clear do not waste your money on a Sinnis.

Sinnis Terrain

Bought a brand new Sinnis Terrain 125 2019 from a representative dealer and to be honest I wish I had gone back to Yamaha... The bike is advertised as an adventure bike. Makes you think endurance however please be advised the standard spec of the bike includes some very poor quality parts. You will need to upgrade the chain to DID ASAP as the standard chain will be stretched out before 2000 miles. At 3700 miles my back wheel bearing completely collapsed and I’ve been unable to ride my bike now for 2 months while my dealer and Sinnis sort the repair through warranty. The bike will need a service every 1200 miles which if you have a long commute means this will be coming round faster than you might expect and if you’re a novice like me it will cost you an additional small fortune. The guys at Parts and Warranty are really helpful and we’re in unprecidented times. I’m just very underwhelmed and disappointed a brand new bike has had so many issues. Looking to do my test and upgrade to a bigger bike very soon, lesson learned, I will never buy Chinese again.

My grandson owns Sinnis SC125

My grandson owns Sinnis SC125, They are very reasonably priced, was stolen recovered and it was a nice surprise that the parts were very reasonably priced. Engine wise very reliable, rest of it is reliable but you have to keep on top of maintenance they don’t like being neglected. As a runaround I can’t fault it.
