I've had performance anxiety and social anxiety for so many years. I think it was the 4th grade I had my first panic attack having to speak in front of the school. Honestly, I've found Kick to be life-changing. I know that may sound like an exaggeration, but over the past year, Kick has allowed me to go through my job interview process with confidence, give work presentations in front of 5 or 50 people without the overwhelming anxiety I had before, and give a maid of honor speech in front of 200 people for my best friend's wedding (which would have been virtually impossible for me to get through beforehand). Kick is a telemedicine company that offers a prescription to beta blockers, which help reduce your physical response to performance anxiety. I’ve ordered from them twice and have been happy both times (quick turn around time once you fill out your online health questionnaire and fast shipping). Typically I’ll take a tablet before an event like public speaking or something I’m nervous about like a job interview. It’s not meant for daily use and it’s also not a cure all. The good thing about them is that they mask your physical symptoms to stress (racing heart, shaking hands) but it doesn’t fix the underlying cause of stress. This way you still have the satisfaction of conquering public speaking anxiety, etc. In other words, if you’re not obsessing over being nervous then you can have a clear head and work through the idea of why you’re stressed to begin with. After all, it’s just talking in front of strangers! I will continue to support this product as long as it serves a purpose in my life (only downside is you have to redo the questionnaire to get your second order)
