Can't add outbuilding after taking out policy: very frustrating
I need to add an outbuilding to my policy but there is no way to do this after taking out the policy: the option to include outbuildings was there when I first paid for the policy, but that option did not have 'garage' included as an outbuilding option (instead there were things like "shed", "workshop", or even "home cinema"). So, I assumed that a garage did not count as an outbuilding. I was then told that I had to include this in my policy. I said that there was no option to do this when I tried to amend my policy. I got a reply saying to indicate this under "property details" in the policy amendment pages, but I had to explain again that this option did not appear; I sent screenshots confirming this but so far have had no reply.
