Ed was a great coach

Was supposed to be a line of credit but someone in the company decided to deposit all available money in my checking account instead of the $3000.00 I requested at closing. Very little went as expected or told things would go, very sorry that I chose Finance America to handle this process.

The process was so easy, everything just fell into place. Frank Joseph guided me through even when we would hit a road block. I was not expected to come up with everything several times concessions were made from Finance Of America.

Joel Garcia made my experience great! He always made me feel fully supported, guiding me through various complications, as they came up. There whole process seemed effortless from my side. And as an older person, I truly appreciated his kindness, patience, and understanding. I couldn’t have asked for better help. And other people like Ericka, and Jocelyn, were also easy to work with! Joel, and his team were there with me every step of the way! I already referred a friend. That is the highest compliment I can give! I highly recommend Joel and his team to anyone thinking about a reverse mortgage.

Terrie, our analyst, made the whole process more comfortable for my wife and I. She was patient and responsive. Our closing was on a Saturday. She gave us her personal cell phone number in case we had any questions.

Brandon, our loan officer was great always calling to explain the process and how we were progressing. The only drawback was all of the paperwork that the government required. Much of it was duplicate to other forms already provided. Too much government regulation - much unnecessary

The whole process was easily explained and I wasn’t rushed to get documents sent to the company. Everyone I talked to was very nice and polite and I would recommend them in the future to anyone. I’m very satisfied.

This company is terrible ! Starting with BADGERING telephone calls after I made an inquiry. Was called DAILY even though I told the rep I would call when I made decision to proceed. Was told process should take about 3 weeks. Took 2 1/2 months. Processors didn’t know what they were doing. Worst part was A MONTH was wasted when company kept insisting the deed for my mother’s trust was not acceptable. Finally my attorney intercepted and guess what? It was accepted. We were told closing costs would be $5400 but the HUD-1 statement had $6029. Asked repeatedly for this to be corrected and it was not. They somehow changed the calculation at the last minute that some other fee increases by $600. I can’t help but wonder where the $29 went ….still waiting for response from the ‘manager’. This company is crooked and takes advantage of seniors!

The whole process ran very smoothly. We were able to close in a very reasonable amount of time. My tep Marc was extremely knowledgeable and walked us through every aspect of the process.

The pleasantness of the representative that I spoke with. She answered all my questions to the point where I understood everything I needed to know. She responded back to me anytime I called her. We had very good clear communication.

Heather was exstremly helpful couldn't of down this without her help.

Angelina! I could not have asked for a better agent to help me through the process. She is very knowledgeable with the rules and regulations. If I had a question she always made sure I understood her answers. When the process was nearing the end, I wanted the money deposited into my savings account. That was something new and she made it possible for me. I later found out that others on her team didn’t know that it was possible. She is very easy to communicate with. If there were six stars, I would give it to her.

All involved seemed to try to make the experience as seamless as possible.

Need more appraisers took over two weeks due to very slow response from appraiser. Jared did an excellent job of keeping me appraised of process.
