Best car rental in Mauritius

Started well enough, but was placated by sweet talk and what appeared to be nice service until we had an issue with the key. I had taken the insurance but was not explained this didn’t cover tyres, cd player or the key, nor did they have a spare. For the time I was happy to cover the cost of a replacement key. I informed them the second day into my three day rental. The surcharge was just shy of 30,000 rupees (€600) for a lost key, which I said was extortionate. They agreed if I was able, they would allow me to get another key. I sourced this for 7000 rupees, saving me over €450 and also getting them there car back. They came the night before the 3 days would be up to collect, knowing I didn’t have the key. They said if I did not pay they would call the police and I would be arrested until sorted, with passport confiscated. Having young children with me I felt no other choice. The man who collected had sympathy and said that they would provide me with receipts and if cheaper they would refund me the difference. As they had no key (so they claimed) the car remained in the car park at the hotel (so I thought) with the key company coming to me the next day. I kept SOLEIRO aware the whole time with numerous updates throughout the day, with the locksmith updated too, they read the messages (sent on WhatsApp) with no reply. Their last communication with me was to confirm they were happy for me to source a lower cost key. When the key company arrived, I went to meet them at the car but it had gone. SOLEIRO had taken the car with a new key they claim, with no receipt provided. I was then left with a further 2050 rupee call out charge from the locksmith due to the lack of communication from SOLEIRO. They have not refunded, not kept their word or provided any form of customer care. After promising a call back, nothing has come. I will be taking further action. I was not able to respond to their reply below but it is not a full, honest or frank response and omits their lack of communication, acknowledgement about the key replacement or how they managed to recover the car without a spare immediately as noted on CCTV from The resort or from main dealer. No refund of difference either as their staff member promised nor call back.

Ha sido una empresa EXCELENTE, el Sr Nitish nos ayudo en todo momento , incluso cuando tuvimos un pequeño accidente, un DOMINGO, el estuvo al Telefono y nos ayudo con el idioma. EXCELENTE experiencia LA RECOMENDARÍA. Además, preguntad que os pueden poner un conductor, ya q para los europeos es mas dificil conducir por la izquierda. We haven´t received any refund for the first day when the car didn´t start. They changed the car at night, but the whole day had been already ruined because of that. They promised to give us the refund for that day but they haven´t done it. They kept repeating that they had changed the car for us so we would leave it like that and that they cannot send it because of the charges when sending to my account but they could have given that to us while returning the car. I don´t really care about the refund itself that much as about the behaviour at the end which was highly unprofessional! *you must be kidding me with your answer as well as I have been trying to deal with you over whatsup since then! You havent even provided any Booking voucher, so please do not act like this review came out of nowhere!

The car was in a good condition, served us well during the 4 weeks stay in Mauritius. Ashvin and Team were very helpful and super nice. Every request was quickly addressed in communication on WhatsApp and solved perfectly. Thank you guys for your kindness, professionalism and understanding.

Livraison à l'heure au lieu indiqué. Voiture louée contractuellement avec GPS, mais celle proposée n'en avait pas. Une solution rapide a été trouvée avec une clé wifi proposée par l'équipe, qui se révèlera beaucoup plus avantageuse avec l'utilisation d'un téléphone qu'un GPS voiture. Seul imprévu : le règlement du ticket de parking en sortant de l'aéroport, non évoqué au préalable. Quoiqu'il en soit, à recommander au regard de la réactivité, de l'amabilité de l'équipe, de la ponctualité de la livraison.

La location de voiture a correspondu exactement à ce que l'on attendait. Ashvin et son equipe ont été très professionnels et efficaces. Rien à redire!

Arnaqueurs!! Je déconseille vivement. Nous avons fait une réservation, nous avons même téléphoné la veille pour nous assurer que la voiture sera prête à l'heure demandée. Jour-j aucune voiture!! Tous les numéros sont injoignables!

We had only good experiences with Soleiro Rentals. During our vacation we decided to rent a car at short notice. Ashvin brought us the car to the hotel and picked it up again. The car was like new, everything worked fine and the automatic transmission made driving on the left side very easy. If you had any questions, you could always reach Ashvin via WhatsApp.

We've rented a car for three days and we can absolutely recommend Soleiro Rentals. We booked a drop-off at Trou-aux-Biches and a pick-up at Flic-en-Flac and Ashvin managed everything with ease. We even got a wifi for free. Thank you very much Ashvin!

The guys know exactly what they are doing and we just enjoyed booking our car for 4 days with Ashvin- out contact at the rental. He really made sure the experience was smooth from the time we made the booking. Definitely recommend this car rental company in Mauritius!!

They gave nice car

Rented a great small car for the day, but plenty big enough for 4 adults and a day trips baggage. Varun and Ashvin were super efficient and had all of the paperwork sorted in 10 minutes and I was on the road. Company will drop and collect the car at you hotel.

Got in touch with them via another portal. Ashvin, Varun, Nitish and Vicky have been very flexible in terms of timing and location, easy hand overs included.

Soleiro rentals not only had availability for my last minute booking (less than 24 hrs notice) but they also had such a reasonable price. What made our experience the best was our representative Ashvin, he was so accommodating, flexible with pickup/drop off and he went above and beyond from start to end. He was easy to communicate and reach. We will especially use Soleiro again because of the lovely customer service by Ashvin and the great prices.
