Constantly logs me out and loses my progress

When it works, it's pretty decent, even the free version. The problem is that it doesn't ! It constantly logs me out, regardless of which browser I'm using (cache cleared, etc). I can be typing on the last question of a section and it pops up with the "You haven't logged in for a while." Sometimes barely an hour has passed! It doesn't save your progress, either, so clicking 'log in' will lose everything you've done up until then in that section - notes, working, thinking, answers, etc. It's incredibly frustrating and I've reported it a few times via the "Does this keep happening?" button, but I haven't heard anything back. I'm sorry, but it should save a state with your progress at the very least, so that when you log in again, you can carry on from the question you were on. For it not to do that is just poor programming / software design.

My son benefited hugely from it

My son benefited hugely from it, he said it really helped. The team , especially Olivia, were knowledgable, polite, friendly and very helpful. Can’t recommend them enough, thank you!

Good variety of resources

My son used Seneca Learning for GCSE revision and found it to be really useful. We upgraded to premium after he had used the basic package in school. He liked using the mini mocks and the fact there was a variety of options for revision resources. The customer service was also really good.

Easy to use

Easy to use, large selection of courses and very useful when the school uses it too!

My honest opinion

Honestly, I never found a website made by people more dedicated to helping kids learn until i found senaca. I always flick back to the spec of an exam board and senaca covers everything i need to know and you know what the best part is- it's free. I'm a paying member because it comes with extra resources but regardless, if you weren't paying you'd still be able to get the highest grades. I appreciate everybody who created this website

My twins love it

My twins found the hyperlearn courses very useful when learning from home during lockdown. Shame their GCSEs were cancelled but thank god Senica exists! We've decided to carry on our subscription for A Level and found the customer support to be efficient and professional.

Seneca offered free courses for all of my GCSEs and A Levels, which I found useful - the courses were more fun & completely free. I did try Premium for my A Levels and found it useful too!

Meh...

Okay, as in it helps you revise but I could receive the same help from a textbook/revision guide.

Don't waste your money!

Don't waste your money on this "service". The lessons are just useless and if you made the mistake for premium, then you gave money to some robbers. They offered me some "special service" for online learning, but it was just an online group where they didn't help us at all! They were about to change is *£200* for that "service"! Absolutely shameful, then after 4 months since I payed for the premium, I got an email saying that I was charged 79.99 for another 4 months of premium, which I was not notified will happen, and when I emailed them, they didn't respond, and they didn't respond to the phone calls. F R A U D! I will contact my bank to see what else I can do, but this is a horrible company, don't give them money, they are a bunch of disgusting scammers.

Don't waste your money!

Don't waste your money!! I subscribed to the Supreme access (£40) but all we have had access to are a small number of tests -NOT the 4 months worth of activities sold. My daughter just changes the answers till she gets them right so I cannot see what her learning needs are, and there is no 'individualised progress' as advertised. It’s more like 'see what you can find on our site that may be useful'. We are constantly bombarded with adverts on the site asking upgrade our subscription to the next level, even on my daughter’s page, and doing simple things like linking my daughters account are non-intuitive and difficult. 'Olivia' the assistant just gives vague answers to my questions. Then to top it all I haven't been able to log in for the past 12 hours because the page won't load. If there was a governing body for this sort of site, I would be reporting them for false advertising. An all-round bad experience.

The company sneakily renew your subscription then refuse to refund your money that they took without permission Olivia has been particularly unhelpful. Would not recommend cash grabbing company with very poor customer service.

seneca Learning My Thoughts

I think Seneca is great revision source, however only holds a limited number of case studies on each subject. Also there are issues with its gap fills as when trying to answer a gap may disappear, leaving you to lose percentage as it doesn't allow you to fill in the space. Overall the basic content is good and even without premium it holds the basics needed for courses.

Pros and Cons

Pros: Seneca is a really good online learning website; it has lots of courses. You can see how you are getting on and you can sometimes have the option to store your memory of the task you are doing. Cons: On Seneca's website, it says you can learn 2x faster but to be honest, it makes no difference compared to a revision guide (in my opinion). It doesn't have any BTEC or any other qualification courses (just mostly KS3, GCSE and A-Level).
