Matt and Kieron did an amazing job installing our solar panels, with very little disturbance caused. They put up brilliantly with 2 barky dogs and a toddler constantly at their feet, and were very friendly throughout. Everything was explained in full once installation was complete. Would definitely recommend.
Overall great service, fast installation completed less than a week after confirming our order, good interaction with the representative who visited us, spent time with us working through our energy usage, what we were looking for, explaining the system and how it works together with the benefits and savings
Every thing went completely to plan and as discussed, the fitters were fantastic, clean tidy and very prompt. The back up service from the girls in the office great to, we would recommend Project solar to anyone thinking of going solar. Thanks guys all we now need is some sun.
Installation team Brad and Steve were brilliant all work completed on time and system fully explained
I’m not going to comment on the ‘surveyor’ but the two who did the installation of our solar panels were great. Both Matt A and Kieron S worked hard from the minute they arrived to the minute they left. They were professional and respectful for the whole time.
I've had my solar system in place since June - it's generated 1.67MWh since; but it wasn't Project Solar that installed. After my experience I used them to give me an idea kf what NOT to get or be like. The first issue I had was the pushy sales pitch which assumed everyone knows nothing about solar, the costs involved, the savings it can generate and all that. I tried not to be too rude and to get to the point, the reason they were actually there - to generate a quote for how many panels on the roof as well as the inverter and battery. Took an hour to get this this point. I was eventually quoted something in the region of £25,000 for 7/8 panels on the south roof and 8 on the north. I argued you could fit more (based on other quotes id already had) but I was immediately shot down with NO! I also said, based on my low usage the cost of scaffolding and panels on the north and their ~50% worse power output, would not be worth it. Again, shot down, IT IS WORTH IT!! Then the battery discussion: I had next to no choice on what I was offered in terms of size, again based on usage anything higher than 10kwh would be excessive - they kept pushing a battery management strategy to keep the import costs down or remove entirely. While this does have merit, the pennies saved with this would take decades to recoup the cost of the obscene £25,000 quote. I think I audibly scoffed a the price when it was eventually revealed. ~£15,000 for the whole install plus scaffolding and to make it affordable, why not pay monthly for 25 years with a 10% interest rate, which added that extra £10,000. I almost fell off my chair. Gobsmacked. I settled with a local company who fitted 6kwp of panels on the south roof only, a 5kwh battery and a 6kw inverter (Fox ESS). Scaffolding, installation and bird proofing took the total to around £8000. What I have is more than enough for so much less. Do your research! Don't get suckered in to low monthly prices with stupid high interest. Do you own financial affordability sums, get a loan from the bank cheaper, get a 0% credit card, anything than what project solar and pedaling. I feel sorry for people that fell for this and didn't go to a friendly, cheaper local installer. (Based in north east)
Tom, Eaton and Keenan did a fabulous job in not very nice weather, under stressful circumstances beyond their control. Efficient installation and all working nicely. Happy with this project for my house.
Danny and Lewis did a great job installing. Fast and efficient and happy to answer any questions I had.
I’d like to give a big shout out to Ben and Fraser the installers today. A great example, an asset to the company Project Solar Uk. Polite, knowledgeable and eager to assist thanks guys.
Sick of this company harassing me. I filled in a form in August - never heard from them. 2 months later my phone is being called nearly every day from different mobile numbers and random people form project solar U.K. trying to get me to book an appointment. I have asked them to stop calling me and lo and behold within 1 or 2 days a new mobile number rings me from Project Solar. If you are reading this and work there, get a grip on your lead gen / appointment booking system because this makes a mockery of your company.
Project Solar UK have been extremely helpful and detailed everything up front and they were happy to answers any question even although they had already given the answers, so that I could be clear about things before and during the whole process of having my solar panels fitted. Would recommend this company to anyone who is thinking of getting solar installed as they will spend time with you at the beginning to make sure it is the correct thing for you to do.
All aspects from sales to installation all parties were friendly and professional.
All through the quote and installation they have been extremely efficient and wanting me to understand what is going on with phonecalls and follow-ups.
I had a very good experience getting my solar panels installed! Helal Ali, the salesman, was extremely professional and friendly. He took the time to explain every detail clearly and patiently. It really made me feel confident about my decision. The installation team — Derry and Jason — were equally amazing. The whole process went smoothly from start to finish. They worked efficiently, kept everything very clean, and were kind and respectful throughout. They also took the time to walk me through the technical details, making sure I understood how everything worked. Overall, the entire experience was seamless and professional. I couldn’t be happier with the service and highly recommend Project Solar UK to anyone considering solar!
I had 2 Romanian young men install my solar system today and it rained all day. They never complained once, just got on with the task in hand. They were very polite, cleaned up after themselves and Bogdan took his time to explain what happens next. A very satisfied customer. Thank you lads. Lesley
