Great learning tool but some room for improvement
I've used PracticaTest to prepare for my theory exam and have over 500 tests completed. The theory summary is pretty spot on, as it doesn't overload you with information that you won't need for the test (unlike the official theory book), so by reading and memorising all of it, you should already be good to go. When it comes to the actual tests, I was mostly satisfied with it. I think the unit tests were the better option to go for, completing them unit by unit until you finish all 16, and over again. Standard random or intelligent tests were decent to do in between unit tests, but after doing them for a while, I've noticed that it tended to cycle through a question pool of maybe 500-1000, instead of the 3500 that is advertised. Being able to save troublesome questions is a very helpful option to learn them. The WhatsApp support was quite poor when I had some issues with logging in, although the issue fixed itself on the following day, so I wasn't too bothered. Finally, I've recently had my theory test and passed with 1 mistake. When I looked through the questions, 90% of them were the ones I would have seen in PracticaTest exams already. However there were those 10% that I haven't (and after doing over 13,000 questions, I definitely would have if they were in the database). So my advise is really read through the theory part before going for your test to refresh your memory on a few things and you should be golden. Good luck!
