If you're looking for a nightmare in Paris, this is the perfect choice!
We stayed in the apartment "Spacious 3BR - Champs-Elysees Views" at 15 Avenue de la Grande Armée, 75116 Paris, from May 24 to May 31, 2026. This was by far the worst rental experience I have had in all the years I have been renting apartments around the world. The apartment is absolutely unfit for comfortable living. The bed linens were dirty, there was a terrible smell throughout the apartment, and the noise from the avenue below was unbearable. There was no air conditioning, the washing machine was covered in mold, the refrigerator was packed with thick ice buildup, and the floors creaked so badly that it was impossible to walk around without disturbing everyone. The floors were dirty, and the dishes felt sticky and unclean. Dirty buckets and a mop were left lying around the apartment, creating an untidy and unpleasant environment. One of the bathrooms is located directly inside a bedroom without a door, meaning you are effectively using the toilet while staring at the bed. The second toilet is separated from the bathroom by three different rooms, making the layout completely impractical. The property management is utterly incompetent. They do nothing to address the issues and instead send long, pointless AI-generated responses that avoid taking responsibility. It appears that this apartment is deliberately not listed on major platforms such as Booking.com or Airbnb. Given the extraordinarily inflated price they charge, one can only wonder whether this is done to avoid public reviews and prevent potential guests from learning about the true condition of the property. I would strongly advise anyone considering this apartment to look elsewhere.
