Really great experience with Osbornes Law. Rachael Atkinson and her assistant Samina dealt with the conveyancing on the sale of my late mothers home. Solicitor was professional and always took the time to explain what each process meant. I needed legal representation to help with the care of my family member who was unfortunate to have been the victim of an unprovoked assault, just minding his own business. I do not recommend this firm based on my initial interactions. Despite three separate attempts to engage their services, they demonstrated a clear pattern of unresponsiveness. First, I called and explained my complex case. While they were verbally reassuring they could take my case and promised a callback from a solicitor, it never came. I called again the next day and the same thing happened again. I then took the time to type out my entire situation in a detailed message, so the solicitor would know my case and explicitly requesting a callback or written response from one of their solicitors. Days passed with no acknowledgement. This lack of follow-up at the critical intake stage is a major red flag. If they are this unresponsive before securing a client, I have no confidence in their communication after payment. If you don't want to take my case or have no capacity, then just let me know. A client should not have to pay a solicitor just to chase the firm itself. I have since taken my case to another practice.

Nicholas Leahy helped me through a very emotionally challenging medical negligence case over the course of 3+ years on a no win no fee basis. Throughout this time he remained approachable, reliable, quick and communicated very clearly with me. When things got too much for me he would patiently explain things and offer options. He seems to know the law and process inside out and is able to explain things simply and with so much patience. He also made the process as easy as possible for me by drafting as much of the documentation as possible for me based on our conversations and making himself available for calls whenever I needed. Throughout this time the defendant denied any liability but Nicholas kept his cool and determination even when I had no hope. We have now closed the case with a substantial settlement, which is will help my family and I get back on our feet financially. I whole heartedly recommend Nicholas to anyone who’s been harmed by medical negligence.

I used Sarah Waller an incompetent solicitor. She acted for me in a case against my social housing landlord. She came to my home and it’s clear she holds the derogatory views that many hold in society about social housing tenants. My home is like a show home with high ceilings, chandeliers, bay fronted windows, real brick fire place, wooden flooring if you get the picture. She informed me that my “ standards were too high” as a social housing tenants inferring that I should live in squalor and be grateful. She had little to now clue about disability discrimination and would quite frequently state “ we will keep it under review” she never did. The most appalling thing was working in unison with the opposing housing company to attempt to break into my house and change the locks. It’s a mystery to me how this company profess she cares about the vulnerable because this was never evident to me as a disabled person pursuing a disability case. On one occasion she made so many school boy errors and when this was pointed out to her she charged at me like a Staffordshire Bull ( figuratively speaking) I had to sternly warn her and then terminated the call. She was malicious and vindictive when her mistakes kept mounting and I advised her I would need to speak to her manager about the school boy errors, she threatened to remove my legal aid and leave me without representation. One of the worst solicitors and I’ve instructed and worked with quite a few. I did however receive £250 when the Legal Ombudsman became involved

Leopoldine put me at ease and prepared a fully detailed statement of my problem along with notes on several court cases with similar problems and which were most appropriate for my case. This gave me the confidence to approach the firm I was dealing with and negotiate a settlement knowing I had Leopoldine to take over if required to. I am pleased to say the matter has now been resolved.

Elline was wonderful from the start to the finish. I never felt any question was silly to ask and Elline was always patient, kind and spent time to ensure I understood terms, conditions and the way the system works in general. It is daunting to go through however, feeling supported and championed helps that subside.
