I'd used Nest for a number of years as a lettings agent. They have been a terrible partner and appalling to work with, unable to return phone calls, getting the rents incorrect and not providing invoices despite multiple requests, the list could go on. The final straw was finding out they had been lying about attending the 6-monthly inspections which they offer as a part of their service, instead requesting the tenants themselves to send pictures which they then provided to me claiming they had taken themselves when visiting the property. Only when I spoke to the tenant did I realise they had never visited the property and lied directly to me about this situation. When I challenged them on this, a number of poor excuses were rolled out before they actually lost their temper and hung up the phone. It's more alarming to note that this poor customer service and these lies came directly from the "Director" Jake Stacey which doesn't suggest to me that it is an isolated incident if the manager of the company sets this sort of example. The entire operation was a shambles, the customer service was appalling and the staff, especially Jake, were completely incompetent and useless. I've dealt with many poor companies and witless individuals in my time but these really are the worst. These are a perfect example of a company being set up and ran by people with NO experience and playing at running a business. Avoid at all costs. Rude, incompetent and useless!
