    Spreads harmful misinformation about health

One of the articles I clicked on during my research about O negative blood type says I should avoid certain foods for my blood type, and a large portion of the list tells you to avoid fruits and vegetables, even dairy and grains. Ask any nutritionist and they will tell you that it's complete insanity! The website is a complete joke and should never be relied on for health advice.

    fake data

fake data, scientifically wrong: medicalnewstoday.com /articles /carbohydrates-are-they-really-essential carbohydrates ARE NOT essential nutrients, are not even nutrients, with one single exception: glucose. And that is one in hundreds. The rest are not nutrients at all. The article is completely misleading, saying that food rich in carbohydrates provide vitamin B which is ridiculous. Most fruits and the richest vegetables in carbs provide the least vitamins B - like B12 or B3

They seem to be paid off when it comes to doctor reviews. As a patient, I am appalled at how some of the top doctors in my area--not to mention the country--as not even reviewed by this bogus site. Yet, these same amazing docs ARE reviewed in OTHER reputable medical outlets.

    Too many factual errors

Many of their articles on psychedelic drugs are littered with factual errors. As an expert in the field, it was extremely disappointing to see things as simple as doses being wildly inaccurate. In particular their n,DMT article which from a brief scan I've already found 5+ factual errors

Biased and partial in the service of advertising industry and companies

it's being acquired by an American private company Healthline Media and the content many times goes against more credible sources, like UK's NHS or British Heart Foundation. Its sister site Healthline is partial, and pleases the advertising and whatever products they "sell" under the auspices of "Health to the general public".

Garbage website, don’t waste your time

Absolute bogus. I’m currently taking a 5 day course of prednisone and I am ridiculously constipated. Medical News Today says “it is highly unlikely you will experience constipation while on Prednisone”. The website crashed my phone as soon as I opened it. I think the only reason this website gets any traffic at all is due to the domain name sounding official. I wouldn’t trust this website to spell its own name!

    Nancy Carteron, MD

Nancy Carteron, MD “medically reviewed” an article written about osteoporosis by Caitlin Geng. Sentence 2 states “Although the condition is not reversible….” A few paragraphs further states “Read more to learn whether or not osteoporosis is reversible.” And then the subtitle “can you reverse osteoporosis?” Is followed by “In some cases, a person may be able to reverse osteoporosis.” Which is followed by, “no treatment methods can fully reverse the condition.” and finally we have, “a person can reverse osteoporosis bone loss with certain medications.” Confused? Not me, I’m pretty confident this magazine isn’t worth reading.

Not just not written by medical…

Not just not written by medical professionals, but clearly not written by anyone who knows how to google. One of the articles stated that having an ectopic pregnancy increases the chances of losing the baby. Having an ectopic pregnancy doesn't just increase the chance of losing the baby, in vast majority of cases the baby cannot survive and there is a major risk of death of the mother of left untouched. Saying there's an increase of losing the baby is just incorrect and very misleading

    Not written by Med professionals

The articles are not written by people with medical backgrounds. It appears to me that they do a Google search for information, and just copy what they find, and we all know that the Internet is full of false information. They do not use scientific journals. The articles are supposedly “reviewed” by doctors, but in some cases they seem to not really know a subject or aren’t paying attention, because the information is blatantly false. I have been doing research for many years about a condition (which I have) in humans known as demodicosis (caused by Demodex mites). The information on this site is ridiculous. Every veterinarian in the world can write a book about this condition, which is not contagious, but occurs in both humans and animals. It is sad that false information just gets passed from one bad website to another, and it results in people not being treated properly.
