The salon its self looks lovely, the staff not overly welcoming. However I booked over a month in advance for my aunts wedding I booked two appointments, one hair up for me and a blow for my mum. I called back same day just to checked the booking was correct this was confirmed. When I arrived the stylist thought I was having a blow dry when I said no hair up she said the receptionist must have taken the booking wrong, but insinuated through my appointment that I’d booked wrong! I hadn’t, the booking was taken wrong. The problem came when I showed the stylist the up do I wanted to be told that she’d done this before and a few times.. I thought great! The photo id shown her was loose pretty up style rose bun with loose curled fridge and a few loose curl coming from the bun. To say the stylist was not prepared is an understatement. The first red flag is the white doughnut used, I have dark dark brown hair, I assume this is because the booking was taken wrong. The stylist then tells me this is an “advanced” hair style and that she’s not done this before as you have to take courses in this, contradicting what she first told me! I did not have high hopes and I was right too. It looked awful the bun was tight and a back combed mess with tight ringlet curls for the fringe and chunks of curls coming of the back combed mess of a bun. I wish the stylist had said she can’t do up do’s and I would have settled for blow dry. I wish I’d addressed the issue in the salon but I was upset and just wanted to leave, Instead I paid £45 to go back to the hotel take this mess out, spent 30 mins trying to get the backcomb out and wash my hair and style myself all before the wedding. I also tried to find a email to be able to address this directly to salon however I wasn’t able too. So here I am! Maybe triple check your booking, and make sure the stylist you have can style your hair the way you want before sitting in the chair
