Deceived
I was dealing with a critical situation last year and desperately looking for a lawyer. I came accross Hopkins firm because it had good reviews. I arranged a short phone call where I was attended nicely and where I explained my situation clearly so I could be directed to the right specialist. All the discussions were done in English and they were presented as a firm that can attend their clients in English. I was hopeful and agreed to have a 30 minutes consultation. The lawyer assigned to me was not able to provide an advice or even react at my situation. She promised to evaluate it in the next days and call me but never called. I tried to call the firm again but the secretary treated me poorly because my german was not good. I tried to insist in speaking to someone else and that i was waiting for a call from the lawyer. I had the call with but i was hung up. The reason i needed a lawyer is because together with other people we were victims of a big fraud going on in Germany that has put me in serious economical problems. I cannot describe the disappointment i felt back then. Contributing in a country where you are "hang-up" after being cheated on. When you seek for help, you just find another institution that wants to take advantage of you. I wanted to work with Hopkins Law Firm and assign the case to them, but now I am happy I didn't.
