Got my insurance renewal (I went with GetSetGo last year) and the price was very good, included all the extras I wanted, plus got €50 reduction from my first insurance with them last year. Didn’t even bother to get quotes from other companies as I was never going to get it cheaper. Well done GetSetGo!

Quick, easy and reliable

I have been with this insurance company for years. They are an online only company which can be challenging at times. There is no contact number, only online chat, which keeps getting disconnected and the same information has to be given many times. Today I tried to make what should have been a simple temporary substitution on my motor policy and I used the online manage my policy to do so. However the wrong date was recorded and I had to pay 30 euro fee. I went back online to change the date and after several online chats I changed the date and got charged an additional 30 euro. Most insurance companies provide free temporary substitution to their customers. I won’t be renewing again, it’s too complicated having just an online presence and it’s a cost for everything. A basic letter from them is 25 euro. I certainly could not recommend them to anyone looking for motor insurance

This company is little more than a method to wrench extra money from their customers. This week I changed my car; I moved three years up, and the car that I purchased had an NCT for 14 months! I contacted this company, having been with them for 6 years, and expected a simple transfer. No such luck. Firstly I was told that they would have to check with their underwriters; this took three days. Then, I was told that I would have to get an engineers report before they would insure me. As I say, the new car had a 14 month NCT report and was simply a newer version of my older Corolla. I therefore had to cancel my policy and was insured my another company immediately...well, I had an 8 year NCB. I had 5 months premium left on my policy when I cancelled and now they are offering a pittance of a rebate. A case for the financial ombudsman. Will see what happens. In any case, steer clear of getsetgo. They may be a few pounds cheaper at the start but you will pay! A shower of gangsters.

it should have a discount when the time of renewal if there was no claim in a previous years

Might be cheap insurance for young drivers, but charge u €50 to add a full licence when u pass the driving test. It's also practically impossible to update this yourself online as it keeps stating you need to talk to customer service. Only problem is they don't accept phone calls and don't call u back unless u create a fuss on the chat service. Definitely wouldn't renew with them after the 1st year.
