I'm a 5 star rated, A+ BBB accredited General Contractor that has been on business in Seattle for over 13 years. My client purchased an Electric Mirror medicine cabinet through one of our local distributors. The first medicine cabinet we received was defective. I called up "tech support" and they sent us parts, which were defective as well. They finally sent us a whole new unit, which finally worked.
Meanwhile, my subcontractor at this point has installed, troubleshooted, uninstalled, reinstalled, troubleshooted, uninstalled, and reinstalled this device over three days. I asked him what he wanted for his labor and he GENEROUSLY said $400, which should really be over $1000, easy. When I contacted Electric Mirror about recouping our labor, Kiel Pidgeon (their customer service "specialist") said, "... our warranty does not cover install expenses. It is just for parts." This is not an answer that I accept from their company, or the company that sold my client the product. Nor would my client as well. I'm certainly not going to charge the client our labor on a defective product, as I'm a trustworthy owner of a Seattle area business that takes care of my clients. Unlike Electric Mirror.
As I looked more into Electric Mirror, I found that their reviews across other platforms on social media (do a search) are horrendous, and apparently, their products are not far behind. At this point, I have given them the chance to make this right by my client and my subcontractor who did the work and they have refused multiple times, so I am letting everyone else know of my experience.
