Cognito Education Reviews

My child has been using Cognito for around 6 months since year 9. They increasingly objected to the schools Sparx system saying it was robotic and confusing. So we withdrew from Sparx and went onto Cognito - what a life saver Cognito is. My child has a health condition that makes school attendance a bit hit and miss and stretched across different platforms resulting in lots of gaps in knowledge that no one seemed to bothered by. Cognito is the one constant and reliable. My child says its so much better than Sparx and so far has wizzed through the biology GCSE curriculum. I literally do not know what we would do without it. There are also many different subjects on there so it covers a lot which I think is great value for the subscription. Thank you Cognito ! Cannot recommend highly enough

This website was massively helpful during my exam year. The XP and streak system alone is enough to make you spend at least 10-15 minutes every day. I've managed to rack up 43,000 XP in just a few months and got all 8s in all my sciences and maths. 200% recommended.

Cognito is really good. I did foundation science and in my mocks in year 10 i got a U. I signed up for Cognito during February ( the year of my actual exams ) and I also paid for the pro version. When i was given my GCSE results, I had gotten a 5-5! 100% recommend.

I used cognito because I was desperate to achieve at least a pass in science ( foundation combined ) and i managed to slide out with double 5 in it with the help of this app, it's BRILLIANT!

Best experience i have had learning anything i would recommend to anyone who actually wants all nines in sciences. i pay these gaffs 70 pounds a year for my subscription and i hope they enjoy every penny. I made a trust pilot account just to give this website a five star review to show my love for their work

The experience I had with the website 100% improved over time. The way things are explained are beautiful and easy to understand, especially with diagrams. Especially with the new cheat-sheets which I'm sure future students will find helpful. AI (a big topic - especially in education) is used moderately throughout, nothing too much, especially for GCSE students (Will talk about this more in depth later). I would only use the site if you have Cognito Pro and are studying GCSEs. This is because the resources are better and more curated. In regard to AI, a lot of the videos for KS3 (available on YouTube) use AI voices. This is a disappointment however never affected me. The exam question tools were useful, along with flashcards and quizzes. In addition, the videos on YouTube are VERY useful. I do wish that cognito does more exam paper walkthroughs as this would be very helpful, especially as it will allow them to get more traffic during peak times and is more useful during exam season where people are less wanting to learn content and instead practice more. Adding on, the site is only good for Science Subjects (maybe Maths too at a stretch) as that's what it had started out to be so there is more content and time catered towards that. Now, going back to AI. The AI marking system can be turned off but when on is inaccurate sometimes. However, gives a good guide on the mark bracket your in. Furthermore, you can tell on the website how dependant it is on AI, especially with material. AI and education have been in talks for time and cognito seems to condone the acts of using AI to teach. I have not come across any misinformation spread from the material though this does seem to be like a big risk, especially for the future of not only the brand, but for the pockets of parents paying money, creating a lack of trust for the brand as the future of cognito's actions are unpredictable. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this website, it does live up to what it is. In addition, I would try only buy Cognito Pro when there are offers as I do think that the full price may be a bit high but also somewhat reasonable (as a student who used this as a substitute for tuition).

Cognito was amazing for my GCSE science revision. Using Cognito quickly improved my grades, and it felt manageable to use because the platform breaks up the subjects into smaller sections, making it easier to find your weak spots. The automatic tracking also helped me see what I needed to focus on. In my Year 10 mocks, I was stuck at grades 2 in Chemistry, 2 in Physics and 3 in Biology. In my Year 11 mocks, 5 months later, I achieved grades 5 in Chemistry, 4 in Physics and 3 in Biology. Then, in my final GCSEs, 7 months after those mocks, I achieved a 4 in Chemistry (3 marks off a 5), a 4 in Physics (one mark off a 5), and a 5 in Biology. The main weakness of Cognito is the English resources, but they haven't been around for long, so I'm sure they will improve over time.

Excellent for GCSE science and English, very clear videos and notes!

THANK YOU SO MUCH U ARE A WONDERFUL PLATFORM I BLESS U MY FRIENDS. I GOT IT IN YEAR 10 AND I GRIND BIOLOGY SUNMER HOLIDAY AND TH EXACT THINGS THEY REINDOCED AGAIN FLOOD THE GCSES PAPERS MUCH LATER. AND THE MAD MAD PART. FOR MY GCSES FOR PAPER 2S I DIDNT KNKW ANYTHJNG PRIOR NOR REVISED, MEANING I WAS NOT GOINF TO GET THE 9S BUT ONE DAY. ONE DAY FOR ALL THREE PAPERS TAUGHT ME SO MUCH CONTENT AND I GOT ALL 9S IN SCIENCE AS A RESULT. YOU ARE A BLESSING. IF U WANNA GET IT LONG TERM U WILL EASILY GET THE TOP TOP GRADES. SHORT TERM IT WILL CLUTCH U INSANELY. THANK GOD THIS EXISTS I BLESS YOU VERY MUCH

I jumped from a 4-4 to a 9-9 in combined due to Cognito and I owe this entire grade increase to them because of how efficient the videos are and the prepared flashcards which let me get through the entire spec of all 3 science subjects within a 3-4 day period while In exam season while still retaining enough knowledge to get 80 percent.

This website is amazing and teaches so much. It helped me get a 9-9 in science gcse and i would definitely recommend it

This website literally saved my grades for combined science, had a 5-5 in my november mocks, started watching a few of their videos and got a 7-7 in february mocks, then did each course for all 3 sciences and ended up with an 8-7 today 6 marks off an 8-8 🥹, love you cognito please continue to save more people like me whose teachers couldnt teach.

My daughter & son both used Cognito to support their preparations for their science GCSEs. It was one of the few tools of the many we tried that they both stuck with and found useful and engaging. That is definitely worth a 5-star star review.

Highly Recommended. First of all, my son found Cognito Education a huge benefit while revising, and I would definitely recommend the service. However, I also wanted to praise their customer service. I recently realised that I had still been paying for the service even though we were no longer using it. I contacted Cognito by email, and my subscription was cancelled in less than 24 hours. They also refunded my most recent month’s payment, which I hadn’t even requested. Many thanks.

Cognito really helped our daughter with her gcse revision, the videos, quizzes and past papers, I would recommend to anyone doing GCSE revision

Really helped my daughter with her GCSE’s

My daughter found this really useful for her GCSE revision She mainly used it for science (she did triple science) and loved the fact that she could do short revision sessions with features such as flash cards or longer revision sessions with exam style questions and past papers. She also found the videos very helpful. We would highly recommend Cognito. In add, when I needed to cancel my subscription I found the customer service excellent.

It was my child's idea to subscribe. I was glad they found something that worked for them. Really good learning tool. Helped my child learn and improve especially for GCSEs.

We used the premium version of Cognito for GCSE preparation and I am glad that we invested in this resource: students can use it to independently study topics that weren't clear during lesson, revise and test their knowledge.

My daughter really liked the Cognito app and found it very helpful in preparing for exams. In fact, she asked herself for the subscription! Highly recommend.
