I had a terrible experience with CanadaCIS regarding a refund request. I initially paid €250 for a lawyer consultation as part of an immigration process. However, after reconsidering, I decided not to proceed and requested a full refund within the 14-business-day period, as I had never contacted the lawyer or received any service. Instead of handling my request professionally, their manager called me and flat-out refused the refund, claiming the money had already been sent to the lawyer. When I asked for proof of this transaction, they refused to provide it—which is highly suspicious. If the payment was truly made, why wouldn’t they show proof? Their response to my complaint is misleading. They claim that legal consultation fees are non-refundable, but their own refund policy states that refunds can be requested within 14 business days. Additionally, their terms mention that in some cases, they may refund a client but charge a €99 cancellation fee. Instead, they outright denied my refund with no justification. This company lacks transparency and honesty. They seem more interested in keeping people’s money than providing proper service. If they are this unreliable about a simple refund, imagine trusting them with something as important as immigration. Avoid them at all costs!
