Easy to use and excellent site for students
The worst learning app ever, and why did you name it minecraft block? bedrock is so annoying and it does not teach me anything.
Just delete it. I despise it. This is an OUTRAGE that that stupid, stupid nuisance website exists. The useless videos take too long. Wish I can skip that idiot video. The questions are too annoying. I would rather die than do this garbage. There is nothing saving this useless nuisance from hate zone. And if you don't get enough questions right, they force you to retry - WTF!? Please delete this trash and send it into obscurity. This nerd website is awful. Do not use it, it will make. Your. Life. Harder.
Everything about the website is terrible, The narrator talks for so long and you can't skip it, The block I have been assigned is way too easy teaching basic words, meaning the initial test is inaccurate, and even if I anted to get to a higher block I can only do 2 lessons per day, out of the 96 lessons needed to complete the block. There are picture rounds which don't even make sense, as the answers are subjective and there are pictures that are wrong but also could be correct. Would give it 0 stars if I could. Why can't I skip the Narrator??? He is so slow??? I have learned nothing and there is nothing positive for me to talk about
My school uses Bedrock as English homework and while the higher blocks are educational, there is nothing to do when you've finished Block 12. It just moves you down to blocks you haven't completed and you learn nothing. It gets a few glitches and can be quite annoying. In conclusion, Bedrock can be good, it just isn't very good for students who do a lot of it
I really hate bedrock its the worst,we have to do an hour a week
i got a question right and bedrock said i got it wrong, this costed me many points and in result could of got me a home work detention. if i had a option i wouldn't of gave you 1 star i would of given you 0 stars. this has really make me angry and my English teacher said she can not believe this. bedrock is not my friend
I have been using bedrock learning for a few years, at this point, and it has done me no use. I have no knowledge gained from it, and know NO ONE who has. The picture tasks are awful and not well-made, and it patronizes and dehumanizes the user. If you read this, as someone thinking of trying it out, DO NOT BOTHER. ANY OTHER SITE WOULD BE BETTER. edit: wow.... I've even now hurt my throat from shouting in rage about this. this is horrific. And also, they seem to only respond to stupid negative reviews asking them to clarify more (and not any good ones), or ones praising the company.
Hello Mr Bedrock. May I begin by saying that I much prefer maths, HOWEVER, this application has not changed that bias for me. MR BEDROCK, do you think it is acceptable to teach kids English? Why not maths. With My maths homework, I wait against my computer for more to be uploaded, then i release the thunder. But with bedrock learning, I just sit at my computer for hours and stare in disappointment when there is more homework. Thank you not so much Desmond the Maths lover
Unbelievably patronising and activities and extracts have made direct positive references towards hateful figures, which was the final straw with my tolerance for this site. At my school, bedrock was initially trailed with that year's Y11 top sets and no one gave positive feedback but their trail ran out so we're stuck with it until god knows when. Just to add to the mentioned of the hate figure (since more information was requested) the first instance, and the worst, is during an activity within B9 T13 Women Writers (I can't remember which lesson but it is in reference to learning the word alias) there is a mock text message which says "Did you know that the author Robert Galbraith isn't a real person? It's an alias!" (direct quote). For those who may not be aware Robert Galbraith is the pseudonym used by hate figure Joanne Rowling and the only thing this can possibly be referencing. It is also important to note that Robert Galbraith isn't a name Rowling made up and chose, but is also the name of conversation therapist Robert Galbraith Heath, who did many abusive things such as illegal drug trials with black prisoners, and most prominently for my complaint, mounted electrodes to an man's skull in an attempt to turn him straight, which is reflective towards Rowling's views and opinions on certain members of the LGBTQ+ community today. It's also important to note that many books that Rowling has published under the Galbraith name have contained extremely hurtful and transphobic stereotypes. The second instance again references to Joanne Rowling within the same block and book, this time lesson 79. It is within the extract itself and makes reference to her more commonly known alias, J.K Rowling. I understand that it is within the spirit and the tone of the book to mention her among many other successful female writers and it may have been written before Rowling really started to spread her transphobic rhetoric. However, we should not be giving this woman a platform at all. The inclusion of her name within the text is completely out of touch, especially considering the money she gets from the series she's written under the name J.K Rowling has been used to fund hate groups and destroy the lives of many trans and trans+ people throughout the UK and beyond. I understand that Harry Potter is a culturally significant series but that success is now overshadowed by Joanne's social media presence. A bit of an extreme sample but it's like saying Hitler was a great artist and not acknowledge the mass slaughter of political opposers, Jewish communities, disabled people and many other minority groups that he orchestrated. All in all, I believe that we shouldn't give Joanne Rowling a platform and when we do we should make reference to the genuinely horrible things she's done. I expect better from an award winning site such as Bedrock to not include hate figures in such a positive light.
The grammar branch is by far the worst one. The sentences constantly switch between American and European English, and the bugs are the worst. I could get the awnser perfectly right, but no, I somehow got it wrong when the "correct" awnser was the exact same one I put in?
The grammar section of bedrock learning is very bad. There is no plainer way to say it. It constantly switches between American English and British English methods of grammar, especially when using commas, and overall is extremely tedious and unrewarding.
Even though I chose the right things in bedrock, it still made me get the wrong answer. In addition, the lack of motivation this website gives is completely a disgrace. The words "Good effort." makes it feel like I'm dumb. Bedrock learning also does not give enough learning because when you complete a part, you can no longer exceed the limit. You stay AVERAGE, for the pupils who want to exceed and learn more. This makes them lower their intelligence because it can no longer be used if they want to learn on Bedrock more. If I were a headteacher, I WOULD NOT allow my pupils to do this kind of homework because it does not allow them to exceed their learning. It makes them stay at their limit, which is disgusting because everyone should have the ability to learn more and exceed their limits. If their limit for homework is 20 points, don't just make the limit 20 points and make it stay like that. You should also add an extended version for those who want to do more learning. If you really wanted to make pupils increase their intelligence, check the difference and comparison between their CORRECT answer, and the CORRECT explanation, or this will just make pupils have a lack of motivation to do this at all.
HORRIBLE Bad website, this is boring and its torture Edit: for anyone looking for proof, i use this website because my teachers force me too its TORTURE
Easier to learn English using a monkey.
The question said i was wrong even though i had put the correct answer.
Bedrock is a good website to me. I love to learn on it but the only downside is sometimes the images don’t correspond to the word properly. Overall I would recommend this to someone who doesn’t speak English that well.
This is a grammar website and the grammar in said website is incorrect. Come on, just get it right…! The questions are frustrating and i have to do one lesson for homework a week. The thing is, if you don’t get 60% or higher IT MAKES YOU DO THE WHOLE THING AGAIN. I guarantee you that if you ask a child that has to do this they will say it’s torture. My parents (both teachers with a high status) tried to do this and they BOTH SAID IT WAS TERRIBLE. The fact that it marks you down is very demotivating and can be upsetting for small children.
You often say you're wrong, and your paragraphs can be quite lengthy and frustrating. The grammar doesn't seem to provide a clear lesson for children. I would hesitate to recommend it generally.
this thing makes me mentally break down
no. this website is so bad it can get a guiness world record for the worst site ever. also, i came across a question that literally says complete the sentence: we ... on holiday today will go go went what was the right answer.. go. GO IT DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE, WE GO ON HOLIDAY TODAY garbage trash website even reading plus beats this. ty for reading have a good day and sub to me on youtube pls: Niko MK8DX i would apprieciate it :) this website tho drives me crazy also fish.
