My order was placed on 6/13 and I received it on 6/17. I was little nervous from reading the reviews but all the complaints were about shipping not authenticity. I ordered a pricey skin essence, it was in the Japanese market packaging and batch was in July 2019 which is better then when I get from a certain large beauty retailer with a black and white logo.
I wasn't sure about ordering from Akira since I don't have a lot of experience with beauty products. But, the toner I wanted was no longer being sold at my regular supplier so I checked it out on Akira. Every experience I had, from the ordering, customer service inquiry I sent half way, to the delivery, was really good. I have no complaints. (And shout to Tamara, my customer service rep - she was absolutely fantastic.)
I have been a loyal fan to Sephora and Bloomingdales and so glad to find Akira Beauty lately through a friend who loves luxury cosmetics. Placed 2 orders and was very impressed with their fast shipping, reasonable prices and seamless delivery. The products are nicely packed and has the original barcode. Smells and works the same as what I purchased from other retailers. If you're trying to save budget or only splurge on high-end beauty brands during sale, you'll be excited to shop here! I got my favorite La Mer cream, Clarins body fit, Rose Day cream and Skinceuticals hydrating b5 here. Not so worry about the different packaging and not authorized to sell. It is a legitimate concern but retailers like Costco, Walmart, Fragrance.net or even Amazon that offer better pricing are not authorized and sometime packaged differently depending on the origin country packaging. Yet their products are authentic. Akira is worth to try.
Received my la mer renewal oil today. It is NOT authentic. It doesn't look or smell or feel like the renewal oil usually does. The packaging is different as well. I feel completely ripped off!!! 😠 Very dissatisfied. If I could give zero stars, I would. Can't get through to customer service! This is terrible.. gonna call BBB and fill out a complaint if I don't get anywhere tomorrow.
This is my third review. Since my products were not arriving after 3 weeks and after a plaint to PayPal, I was offered a reimbursement, which I NEVER received.
