Delivered (maybe) by Evri (because they don’t care about customers anymore)
EDIT: So, the fact the Lloyd’s Online doctor have given a default response, as if this is one single occurrence, not an overall issue with their chosen courier, confirms their overall indifference to the customer experience. They saw a negative review and simply said “hey, get in touch so we can look like we care”, without acknowledging what my review was about. When I don’t get in touch, they’ll simply say “you didn’t contact us so clearly it didn’t happen, not our fault” whilst still having a contract with Evri.
Original review:
This USED to be a great service but now it’s very clear that customer experience doesn’t matter. Why? Evri. Evri is their courier.
Yes, the following is a rant about another company BUT the fact that EVERYONE in the UK knows how awful Evri service is… a quick Google search tells you how awful they are and how hated they are. So any company that chooses to use them, does not give a flying fork about their customers. It is literally that simple.
I’ve used this service for almost 10 years, back when they used Royal Mail, there was never a single problem with delivery. You knew what day it would arrive and, because it was Royal Mail, you could virtually guarantee it would arrive by midday automatically, that it would be put through your door or the postman would give you ample time to get to the door (I’m disabled, I have a Ring doorbell that requests more time to get to the door) It was so easy & reliable.
Evri will tell you at 11pm the night before “we have your parcel”. Anyone who has dealt with Evri will feel that with the same negative energy; a mocking, sinister tone that tells you that you might not ever see said parcel. So at 11pm I’m told “well let you know when it’s out for delivery”, at just after 10am the next morning I get told “Your parcel will arrive between 10-11am”. Yet, as usual, it’s midday and I have no parcel, no update to the tracking. No clue what is happening. So I’m held hostage. I can’t go rest (again, disabled) I can’t go out (Evri cannot be trusted - had several deliveries just thrown in my garden in the rain or left in full view of a main road) AND IT IS MEDICATION. I NEED IT.
Will it arrive today? Maybe, who knows. But it will only arrive after causing me stress, anxiety, and more exertion than I should need to expend WAITING FOR A DELIVERY. Evri truly decided that getting things delivered should not be the convenient options… and Lloyd Online Doctor said “That’s good with us! lol”
Oh but ‘good’ ol Evri, setting the bar even lower - “parcel not arrived? Wait 7 days then let us know” Wait a whole week to see if it turns up. Then report it so they can investigate.
Again I point out IT IS MEDICATION…I’m not waiting a week BEFORE you investigate… and someone at the Lloyd’s Online Doctor service thought “OMG great service, we’ll do that”. Massive middle finger to the customer.
Thankfully their competitors don’t use Evri, so looks like it times to switch.
Side note, I also used to get reminders to re-order. They stopped. Again, a small service that really helped me as a disabled customer but we’ve already established the general impression LOD has towards customers in 2024.
