Absolutely useless customer service

Absolutely useless customer service - life's too short. Used for 2 years. Switched to eSim to roam via app abroad, then had nothing but problems. No calls, no data, etc etc. 3 x 45 min sessions with "help" who just kept reading the flow chart but wouldn't answer any questions of give any info, just send the same re-set stuff over and over. Worked for some hours then stopped again. On third time, I said I wanted someone to actually look at why this was constantly failing. "No need, it will work this time" was the answer. You can guess the rest. Plus side, got a far better deal elsewhere. Summary: If it works, you're in luck. If it doesn't, just get a PAC code immediately and avoid a ton of pain and wasted time. Oh, and they will NEVER tell you that you could be on a better deal with them.

Have travel insurance with Gold…

Have travel insurance with Gold account. Attempted to get policy details and emergence numbers etc before long trip to S America. Nowhere on personal banking site, and not through Google - refers you to Allienz. Contacted them. 4 days later get response saying can't send policy details due to GDPR issues (the usual lie) requsting bank details and address - send immeditaly. Got auto reply saying 5 day response time. Now 2+ weeks later and despite chasing, no response whatsoever. Appalling. Tried to compain to LLoyds. Website chat not working, so called. Rude and abusive handler said it was my faullt for looking in wrong place, but could not tell me where info was, and said to call 0345 number from abroad to speak to LLoyds - utter twaddle. Then refused to issue Deadlock Letter. Messaged LLoyds back and forth (nothing else working) who claim to have no record to call, and thus refuse to issue Deadlock letter. Have now escalated to Ombudsman anyway, and am closing account after 35+ years of watching LLoyds go down the u-bend; life's too short, and they are charging a fee for THIS nonsense - incredible. DON'T USE LLOYDS! EVER! Starling bank have shown how customers should be treated.

Tutors trying, but....

Since buying out loads of Colleges, their "land grab then sell off for profit" approach means that almost all the decent and competent admin staff have left the campus' as they can't stand working for the awful management, who seemingly have absolutely no interest in education whatsoever, and a huge fixation with getting personally very wealthy and cruising around in top-end company cars etc. Just look around their sites - filthy dumps where they don't even pick up the litter; emblematic. A very sad reflection of the state of tertiary education in the UK.
