Misleading Information and Poor Communication – A Disappointing Experience
I enrolled at Camino Barcelona after researching several language schools in the city. Initially, the school seemed welcoming and trustworthy, but my experience turned out to be extremely disappointing. Here’s why:
1. **Misleading Information:**
I was advised to switch from the intensive course (20 hours/week) to the semi-intensive course (10 hours/week). I was told the duration would double, and the cost would remain the same. I confirmed this information twice, but it turned out to be completely false. If I had switched, I would have lost 40 hours of lessons, which equals 4 weeks of classes. This misinformation disrupted my learning process and left me feeling misled.
2. **Lack of Transparency:**
I was not informed that teachers would change every week. Each teacher had a different teaching method, which made it difficult for me to adapt and get the most out of the lessons. This lack of transparency significantly affected my learning experience.
3. **Profit-Focused Approach:**
When I reached out to resolve my issues, I was offered to buy books as a solution. This gave me the impression that the school was more interested in making money than solving my problems.
4. **Poor Communication:**
I requested to speak with a higher authority to resolve my problems, but my request was ignored. Instead, I was criticized for my communication style. Additionally, after wasting a lot of time, I asked for the names of the people I was speaking with, but this information was not shared with me. This made me feel like I was being deliberately delayed and misled.
5. **Time and Money Loss:**
Throughout the course, I faced motivation and adaptation issues and contacted the school multiple times. However, my concerns were not taken seriously, and no solution-oriented approach was offered. When I wanted to change my course dates, the options given to me were limited, causing me to lose both time and money.
**Conclusion:**
I completely lost my motivation to continue the course due to the misleading information, lack of transparency, and poor communication. This process has been financially and emotionally challenging for me. I hope my experience serves as a warning to others considering this school.
