Replacement conservatory roof
Firstly, we are pleased with our Superlite replacement conservatory roof. (Fitted Nov/Dec 2024) It's a nice job, the conservatory looks vastly better inside and out. With a much improved thermal performance its created a usable living space all year round.
The initial sales pitch attempts to get you to sign immediately, something I never do. There are openings for negotiation in the form of throwing in a few freebies.
The installation process went smoothly. Staff working directly for A Rated Home Improvements were great, polite, friendly. The weak link was one of their contractors, seemed unable to do a satisfactory job and viewed us - the punters as being somewhat stupid. Just the sort you DON'T want working on your property hense the four stars.
It's wise to keep a photo diary of every stage of conversion for your own records.
Thankfully we haven't had any structural issues so I can't comment on after sales service.
I've since offered them a project converting my side load garage which was met with Luke warm enthusiasm and didn't bother getting back to me - their loss.
Would I use them again- yes for a replacement conservatory roof or conservatory definitely.

Every aspect of this company is 5*. I wanted an extension onto my property and A rated made that happen flawlessly. After having a few companies around to estimate, I decided to put my faith with Anthony as he was honest, realistic and made my vision happen within my budget.
All the aspects of the different teams were punctual, respectful and professional. The end product is amazing and they have gone above and beyond. They finished before estimate time and eye to detail is amazing. I can not thankyou all enough and I will continue to recommend you to everyone.

We had high hopes for the service of this company. Richard the salesman was very approachable and nothing was too much trouble, we put our faith in him and the company, and went ahead with a new conservatory roof, which was installed in October 2024. Initially we were very pleased with the work, and looked forward to enjoying our new room. Initially we had one small problem, which was a small white mark on the anthracite window. We were promised touch up paint but that never materialised. After ringing twice about it and no action, I even called at the showrooms and spoke to a guy who said they would get it sorted, you guessed it, nothing happened. Then we had an issue with the bi-fold doors not running properly. Rang again to report it, and was told it was easy to rectify and would be sorted out. Nothing happened. Fast forward to May 2025, and we discovered we had a leak in one of the roof lights. Rang them again several times, could not get through on any extensions. Finally spoke to Nigel, the boss, who arranged for the team to call out on May 7th, which i was happy with. Unfortunately I had to cancel this appointment due to a family crisis, so I rang to re schedule, and again spoke to Nigel who said the team would be out on May 14th at 10.am, today. It is now gone eleven am, and there is no sign of anyone coming. We have rung several times and cannot get an answer. We have had no message as to why they have not stuck to the appointment arrangements either. Don't bother leaving any messages on their service issue support on line, as we did that too and had no response. It seems the after sales service with this company is extremely poor, and judging from other reviews, this is very worrying as a lot of hard earned money is being spent, and they do not seem to like to rectify issues that arise. It is upsetting and very stressful, so I would really advise caution if thinking of using this company.

AVOID THIS COMPANY. I’ve had an absolute shocker with what I would call Z Rated Home Improvements. Install was to a good standard but the moment you report issues, there is zero aftercare. No one takes responsibility. I’ve been waiting weeks for replacement parts with no sign of a resolution. I’ve spent a lot of money with this company over the years and to be treated like this is a knife to the back. Do not use this company if you value aftercare.
