Review summary

Reviewers generally praise Vinmec for its exceptional customer service and high-quality medical care. Many highlight the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, particularly at Vinmec Da Nang, where patients feel well cared for during procedures ranging from imaging to surgeries. However, there are significant concerns regarding Vinmec Phu Quoc, with one reviewer expressing shock over a careless diagnosis and issues with double payments, indicating potential financial misconduct. Additionally, a mixed review points out communication barriers, particularly for English-speaking patients at the Hanoi location. Overall, while Vinmec is recognized for its first-class facilities and attentive team, the negative experiences at certain branches raise important flags. The sentiment leans positive, but caution is advised for specific locations.

My daughter has been there for a week

My daughter has been there in Hanoi, Times City for a week, today is 10/29/2025 and there is a real communication problem. Very few people there can understand English. She has asked for a patient advocate or customer service to no avail. All she needs is a cast put on her broken arm in order to fly back to the U.S. and she keeps getting the run-around or conflicting stories. I have emailed the hospital, so far no response. I went on their website to contact them but the chatbot is in Vietnamese with no apparent way to translate

Vinmec Phu Quoc left me shocked — careless diagnosis, double payment, endless confusion.

Title: Vinmec Phu Quoc – Medical Negligence and Financial Misconduct My experience with Vinmec Phu Quoc Clinic and Hospital was extremely negative. After suffering a serious leg injury caused by a marine animal, I went to Vinmec for medical help. The attending doctor gave an incorrect diagnosis, describing the wound as a “domestic injury,” which completely misrepresented the true cause. No blood or toxin tests were performed, and the prescribed medicine was ineffective. As a result, the venom spread, the tissue became infected and necrotic, and I later required a painful operation with stitches and repeated dressing changes. When I returned for follow-up care, I was charged again in full for the same case, including for surgery and additional procedures. The administration refused to provide any explanation or acknowledgment of the repeated payments. It soon became clear that Vinmec is more about money than medicine. Every conversation begins and ends with payment. The prices are deliberately understated at first and then grow exponentially with each visit. The bureaucracy is overwhelming: one person greets you, another checks you in, a third issues receipts, a fourth takes deposits, a fifth returns change, a sixth writes reports, and a seventh escorts you out — yet no one speaks English, though everyone knows how to show seven-digit numbers on their phones. The entire organization is chaotic and poorly managed. You are given an appointment in the clinic, only to find out that the doctor is actually at the hospital 40 kilometres away. Taxi drivers benefit — patients do not. There are, fortunately, other clinics on the island. But if you wish to waste your nerves, remain untreated, and meet arrogant bureaucrats in white coats, then by all means, visit Vinmec Phu Quoc.

In February 2025 I had a stroke while…

In February 2025 I had a stroke while at my hotel in Da Nang. The hotel organized my transfer to the VINMEC Internatiol hospital. Unbeknown to me I was two days in an induced coma. Once awake I was further examined by three doctors. The care and professional service I received was outstandingly good. All credit must go to the staff of the hospital, in particular my doctor Vo Dang Nhat and the incredibly good and competent translator, the beautiful Thoa. Since my stroke I visit the hospital every three months for a check-up and receiving the appropriate medication. I truly love the staff, the very modern facilities and the outstanding professional attitude and care the hospital is providing to all its patients. The costs for the initial treatment and follow up consultations are very, very cheap in comparison to other countries, particularly in Asia. I very highly recommend the VINMEC International Hospital to all travelers should they require outstanding and competent treatment here in Da Nang

A First Class Hospital with a First Class Team

I cannot recommend Vinmec Da Nang highly enough. I have used this hospital for MRI/CT scans Xrays, Mammogram, Ultrasound and even Plastic Surgery on my ripped ear lobe. Having worked in the Healthcare Insurance Industry for most of my career in the UK I have been so impressed with every single experience I have had with Vinmec. The hospital is of excellent standard, spotlessly clean, marble reception, leather sofas, escalators and a private suite for International patients. I did compare the facilities and prices to the Family Hospital which had been recommended and there was no difference in price for my MRI/CT scans and Vinmec are definitely more advanced at comparing discs for changes. The staff/Drs/Nurses are all all an absolute credit to the hospital. Everyone is so caring, kind and compassionate, the UK NHS could definitely learn a thing or two. The efficiency and speed of appointments and results are exceptional. Having had cancer, I require follow up scans and getting immediate peace of mind and reassurance is just so wonderful. In the UK you wait weeks/months for results and appointments, at Vinmec you are in and out with results within a couple of hours...absolutely brilliant. I have also had 10 sessions of physio for inflammation of the rotary cuff, the physio team are exceptional. 10 sessions were £157 in the UK we pay £50 minimum a session. I truly cannot recommend Vinmec and all the team highly enough!

During my vacation I required medical assistance

During my vacation, I unfortunately fell ill and required medical assistance. I called for help at Vinmec Da Nang International hospital. From the moment I arrived, throughout my hospitalization, and even after my discharge, I was extremely satisfied with the services, professionalism, care, and support I received. The medical team was attentive and thorough, ensuring all my needs were met and my recovery was on track. I would like to extend my gratitude to MD Nguyen Thai Tri, MD Pham Van Hung, the entire medical team, and all the staff for their exceptional care. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone in need of professional care and treatment. Silva and Silvo from Slovenia
